Being Human

Chapter 3

"Go away, Angel isn't going to go with you because you asked her to." Angel opened her eyes tiredly as she looked over to the source of the sound to see Cassius with the door open.

A familiar voice was yelling at Cassius but she didn't focus on the voice as she felt sleep was drawing her back in until she jumped from the door being slammed closed followed by more yelling, she called out to him.

"Cassius?"

The male turned around and stare down at Angel before he sighed in irritation as he walked over to the female and began to pull on her cheek causing her to cry out. "The stupid human boy came to take you away." He grumbled annoyed at the remembrance of Ace while Angel was too busy trying to remove Cassius's hand from her cheek but it was ruined by banging on the door.

"Angel! I've come to save you, just open the door and come with me!" Cassius groaned as he let Angel's cheek go and flopped onto her bed beside the nymph who was rubbing her cheek.

Angel sighed as she listened to Ace banging on the door and spouting nonsense but she soon tunes him out as her hand went over and patted Cassius's head gently while marveling at how soft his hair.

"Cassius, when can we go?" Cassius shifted his head as he peeked over her with one of his golden eyes. "I already have paid the innkeeper so we could just leave through the window." Cassius voiced his thoughts out towards her as Angel instantly agreed because of Ace was still on the other side trying to break the door down.

"Alright get change." Angel removed her hand from Cassius's head as she reached over to her bag and took out her white sundress but as she was about to take her nightgown off, Cassius had instantly grabbed her wrist and glared at her in disapproval.

"I can't believe this... Angel, you're not supposed to change in front of a man that is staring at you. Now you need to wait until I've turned my back to you then you can change."

The female nodded as she watched Cassius stood up and walk away before he was facing a wall, she took that as a sign to quickly change which was simple for her. She looks down at the flats in her hands before she began to put them on, she smiled when she got them on her feet only to find herself sitting back on the bed with Cassius fully changed in his clothes as he grabbed Angel's feet and switch the flats much to her confusion only for Cassius to answer her.

"You put them on the wrong foot." He stood back up as he moved towards the window and pushed it open. "Angel!" Cassius sighed at the yelling as he turned to Angel before he held a hand out towards her, his gold eyes staring directly into her sky blue eyes.

"Come on, I think the idiot is going to break the door down." Angel nodded and grabbed onto Cassius's hand before being pulled into his tall form as his arms wrapped around her waist before she found herself falling out of the window with Cassius.

"Isn't this the third floor?!" Cassius grinned before he flipped himself to land on his boots with Angel clinging to him in fright from the sudden fall.

Cassius only laughed at the sight of her frighten face before Angel glared up at him as she smacked his chest but it had little effect on him, she step back from the tall male before fixing her backpack on her back then look over to Cassius who was already waiting for her. "Where are we going?" Angel quickly reach to Cassius side as the pair began to move down on the path towards the gateway that leads out towards a valley. "To where the path take us." Angel frowned as she looked up at Cassius unsure. "That's not a very good plan."

Cassius shrugged before ruffling Angel's white hair as he made his way down the dirt path with Angel trailing after him. "Then if you don't like it, you could go and travel with Ace then have him teach you to be human." She pouted at Cassius's comment but she didn't stop following him.
