The forest became darker and darker the further that Angel and Cassius venture into the forest, both could feel eyes following them. Angel gripped tighten on Cassius's hand as a shivered ran down her spine, she glances over at Cassius nervously but the male was unfazed as his gold eyes shift around with a bored expression on his face.

"Cassius..." She called out quietly causing those golden orbs to shift over to stare at her light blue orbs, she watched him smirk as he reached over and pinched her cheek but he didn't pull as he chuckled at her expression that shifted from fear to annoyance.

"Why do you need to be afraid when you have someone as handsome, strong and intelligent right here." He cooed over her like a father to a child, he let her cheek go as he continue to press forward but he made sure his pace was slow for Angel to keep up.

The nymph glanced up at him before she looked over to the bushes as she took notice of glowing eyes peeking through the bushes before it suddenly disappeared, fear began to grasp her heart but she was pulled away from her thoughts as Cassius kept moving deeper into the forest.

"If you're that scared then keep that fear hidden, those things seem to have a thing to smell the fear that enters the forests." She nodded her head and tightly held on to Cassius's hand as she tried to focus on something else but the glowing eyes in the bushes only made her head spin with fear.

The taller male notices the distress in Angel's eyes and sighed as he stopped suddenly and began to squish her cheeks together before pulling them and squishing them together to make her face look like a fish. "Wha..." Her eyes widen as she tried to stop Cassius from squishing and pulling her face.

"You're still showing signs of fear, those things are going to get you and eat you because of how much fear that you're showing right now." He let her face go as he flicked the nymph's nose as the female looked up at him in annoyance. "Then what am I suppose to do?!"

Cassius looked around the area as he already took notice of the glowing eyes that surround them, he glances down at the female before he scooped her up in his arms and began making his way back on the path with Angel gripping tightly onto his shirt.

Bushes rustled around them, making Angel swallowed nervously as she kept her gaze at Cassius's chest, refusing to look anywhere else while she felt his chest vibrate followed by a deep chuckle. "They won't attack something that more powerful than them. Just like animals, they know who is at the top food chain."

Angel look puzzled as she looked up at Cassius to see the smirk on his face, she gently tugged his shirt to gather his attention which succeeded as his eyes met with her own, his eyebrow raised while the female glance around her before staring back at him. "That doesn't mean they wouldn't try to hurt you." He smirked as he rocked her in her arms like a mother would to their baby, he snickered at the worry expression on her face.

"Are you worry for little handsome old me?" Angel pouted as she looked away from him while crossing her arms across her chest, she gazed down not daring to look up at him.

Her light blue eyes shifting around her but never straying to look at the dark forest but never looking up at Cassius. "Is it... Is it bad that I would feel concern for someone that I think of as a family?" Cassius hummed in thought as he suddenly stopped moving.

"Don't waste your breath on me, you should have more concern for your own well-being." Angel nodded in understanding as she closed her eyes. "Not like these fools can ever touch you when I'm around."

The snap of twig could be heard as Angel's eyes snapped wide and her body became tense when she soon see a shadowy figure approaching them. "Werewolves? I wonder... Are you the one that has been bitten or the natural werewolves."
