I looked up and let the water rain on my face before running my hands through my soaking hair. I turned off the shower and stepped onto the mat on the floor. Wrapping a towel around my waist, i walked towards the mirror and rubbed away an area of condensation on the surface. Staring at my reflection, i noticed how tired i looked- tour had been draining so far and we weren't even half way through yet. I shook my head, opened the bathroom door and walked back into the hotel room. Levi sat on the bed with his head in his hands. He looked up as he heard the bathroom door slam shut behind me and gave me a clearly fake smile. I could see shiny streaks below his eyes, signalling that he had been crying. "What's wrong, bro?" I asked in a concerned manner. Levi shook his head in response so I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. He dropped his head onto me and I could feel him silently crying into my chest. I ran one of my hands through his mass of curly hair as an attempt at a comforting gesture. It seemed to calm him down a little as I could feel his breathing slow as the tears subsided a little. He looked up at me and smiled a sad smile. "Thanks Drew," he croaked. "You really are a great friend." I won't deny that i was a little disappointed at being 'friend-zoned' but i was relieved that whatever had been bothering him had disappeared for a while.
