Lilith came with me today.
After one month and seven days.
Lilith. I hadn't realised at the time, but I knew where the name came from.
Lilith was Adam's first wife. Before Eve, and she had refused to become subservient to him and then left the Garden of Eden.
To say she was shocked when she saw Franco would be an understatement. However, I don't think the state he was in, was what shocked her.
I saw her delicate, cinnamon eyes light up in surprise. Even in his damaged state, he still managed to stay beautiful. He wouldn't've liked that word. Too feminine. But it's the only word we can use.
She asked me about him, how old he was, did he have good grades, how was his social life. I answered them all. I could see her falling for him right before my very eyes and they hadn't even spoken yet.
As she talked, her eyes stayed glued to his face. They would linger on his lips, then she would jerk her eyes back to his closed ones.
Every time I hear her voice change slightly whenever he came up as a topic of conversation. My heart would squeeze and crack a little.
I'm losing hope.
I'm losing the will to live.
It's only a matter of time.
