I start unpacking. It wasn't hard because I didn't have much to unpack. The constant thing about moving from place to place all the time is you have to limit the things you bring. To many things equals to many things for you to carry and it also equals you slowing down. I don't have anytime to slow down. I keep moving until I know I'm safe for awhile and then I move again. A very easy concept. I here voices come from outside my door. I couldn't hear much because they were whispering. I didn't mean to be nosy, but I leaned into the door. I finally heard a distinct voice.
"Where is room 323?" I could tell the voice belonged to a boy. Wait room 323? That's the room I'm in. I specifically asked for no roommate and this happens.
Then another voice piped in,"Doofus it's right in front of you."
"Dude don't be a hypocrite because your a doofus too."
"Yeah I know doofus."
"Wow these college kids are really mature," I mumbled. Note the sarcasm in my voice.
"Who said that?" One of them said.
"Who said what?" I could imagine them just standing in the hallway looking for a voice. "Dude I think you hallucinating."
"Teddy I'm not hallucinating." Okay so one of there names are Teddy. I saw the door knob twist and leaped on to my bed.
When he walked in he looked at me surprised. "Were you the one who said that? Wait were you listening the whole time?"
Even though I'm an exceptional liar, some reason I couldn't pull it off today. "I have no idea what you talking about."
"Whatever floats your boat, by the way great lying skills." He says sarcastically.
"I worked really hard," I reply almost immediately. This was the battle of sarcasm.
"So what are you doing here? I asked for no roommate," How rude.
"Go figure. I asked for no roommate too,"
"Well look where it got us." I was really starting to hate this guy. As he started to unpack I laid on he bed watching him.
There was something about him that looked familiar. "What's your name anyway?" I asked.
"Caleb. What's your name?"
"Pro-Paris." That was close. Pay attention next time Power.
His stuff were over taking all of mine. "This is what it's like having a roommate huh?" He said.
"Yep," I replied popping the p.
"Well I hate it. Do roommates always sit down and be useless?" He stated looking into my eyes. Oh no he didn't.
"Are roommates always spoiled brats?" I responded. He looked away after that. I couldn't tell if he was crying.
Great, now I've got a roommate that's impossible and emotional.
