The girl who ran to us, wore an a very expensive dress, had flawless blond hair, skin that has been very well toned and taken care of, a face of a princess, and piercing emerald eyes that now were staring at me.
"And who are you?" She asked, with a condescending attitude. I cleared my throat, and gave her as charming as a smile I could muster.
"Riel Arsena," I answered.
"Thank you, for protecting my main maid it means so much to me. But I can't believe you took on two bandits. You don't look like much." She stated, blatantly. I was a little offended by that comment, but I didn't let it get to me.
"I am a Demonslayer from Htaed village, if that answers your question," I reply, adjusting the pack that's on my back. The girl looked a bit angered by my reply, which made me a little nervous.
"Are you getting smart with me? Do you know I am, Riel? I am Princess Crystalia Nidas."
To my surprise I instantly felt a whole lot smaller than I was. She was a princess and I was standing before royalty, which was unbelievable. I should've talked to her paying more attention to how I put my wording."Your highness I apologize, I didn't know who you were. I've never met a princess--"
"Stop apologizing. Anyways... You saved my maid who means a lot to me. You did something for me, now I do something for you. Anything you wish," said Crystalia, crossing her arms. I could ask for anything. Money. A house. But there is only one thing that I wanted at this moment.
"A guaranteed spot in the tournament," I request, giving a little smile. The Princess nodded, and looked at her fingernails.
"Anything else."
"Well... A place to stay for the night would be nice."
"Done. Guards!" One of the guards who stood behind her ran to her side.
"Yes, Princess Crystalia?" He asks.
"Give him enough money for the most expensive inn in town," she orders, looking back up at me. The guard on her left hands my a large pouch full of gold coins, which I stick right in my pack.
"Thank you so much your highness, how could I repay you?" I ask.
"You already did, now I'll be taking my maid back. And do please have a pleasant day," she says, grabbing Alexandra by the wrist as they walk away.
"Thank you, and you as well," I call at her, and then I realize I have no idea where an inn was
"She could've told me where the inn is," I muttered, under my breath.
I ended up taking direction from random people how to get to one of the good inn's in the City. And then I finally found one which was called 'The Moons Blood inn" it wasn't super fancy, but it still could cost a pretty penny just to stay a night. I checked in with the lady at front, who gave me my room key, which I rented until the day of the tournament. As I walked to the door of my apartment, a guy bumped into me who smelled strongly of booze, but there was something strange about him. Demonslayers are able to detect how power one person essence is, but this man had a very powerful one. It made me uneasy, not scared, but just uneasy.
"HEY!..." He pointed at me. He had long light brown hair that was in a ponytail, dark sea blue eyes, pretty good build, bushy eyebrows, a jawline that could cut paper, and he was just a few inchs shorter than me. He let out a loud burp that echoed through the hallway.
"Watch...it," he said, tripping over his own feet. He looked at me for a little while, then he kept on walking away.
"That was weird... Wonder if he's in the tournament." Then I unlocked the door of my room and went inside, thinking about the man who just bumped into me.
