So Much For An Ideal World

Sighing, I put down the glossy magazine, the headline staring back at me. 'O'Donoghue bags himself an audition-ee' Plastered on the front is a picture of Danny and I clambering out of the club the other night. It's fair to say we were too drunk to recognise that we were being papped. It is our own faults, we were rather proccupied.

My phone rings, pulling my attention away from the magazine. Danny. I answer, a smile creeping across my face.

"Hello bumface!" He greets me.

"Well aren't you just a great big ball of delight?!" I bounce back, a beaming smile worming its way across my face. "What do you want anyway asswipe?"

"Seems that you're just as delightful as me this morning sweet-cheeks! I was wondering if you'd seen the magazine..." He trails off, seemingly embarrassed.

"Yeah, I've seen it; but it doesn't mean we've been busted." I hear him sigh down the phone in response.

"People are starting to get suspicious again. I've had tonnes of tweets from the fans asking about us. And the label keep getting calls from journalists, begging for some kind of juicy gossip. We need to set them all straight." This wasn't the type of conversation I wanted over the phone. This needed to be done face to face. I guess it's gone too far to stop now, though.

"We can't admit it." I snap back automatically. "We have to deny it. It would ruin us before we even get past the first week. I'm not saying we have to keep it a secret forever, just for now."

"So much for an ideal world." He mutters under his breath, just loud enough for me to hear. I laugh quietly at his sarcasm.

"I know it's not perfect, but it's what we need. This is for us."

"Okay, I'll put out a tweet. I will say that we are still just really good friends and that nothing at all happened after we left the club. Is that okay with you?"

"That sounds good to me. I know you hate to lie, but given the circumstances..."

"I know. I'll be over in a bit to see you." Automatically, the grin which graced my face moments earlier returns once more, heightened by the words that next come from his mouth. "I love you."

"I love you too." I whisper back, overcome by glee at the man I can call my boyfriend.

Putting down my phone, I open up my laptop and do some research for my upcoming job interview. If I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it properly. Halfway through my search, an advert pops up. Me being me, I accidentally click the link an have to wait an age for the page to load. When the page finally loads it is a sign up form for a long lost family search site.

Lighting a long-extinguished spark inside of me, I'm overcome with a sudden desire to look for a certain member of my family. I need to find him.

I need to find my son.

A/N: What do you think to that? Let me know what you think is going to happen? And Ellowyn has a secret son?! I'm sure that is unexpected...If not then you must be psychic!
