After what can only be described as far too many drinks, we settle down in a booth, slightly quieter than the rest of the club.
"I've got an idea!" Mark shouts, his voice drenched with excitement. "Let's play Truth or Dare!" Desperately, I search my brain to try and work out the last time I played this game, but I'm clueless so I give up. My brain is far too frazzled to work efficiently anyway. I find myself volunteering to go first, my boldness does not stretch, however, to my first question.
"Truth or dare?" I take the lame option out, even though I promise myself to stick to the challenges from now on.
"Truth." Mark looks at me with a devilish hint in his eyes, luckily for me, Danny takes over in asking the first question.
"Why did you get sacked from PR?" I delighted everyone with this tale at dinner, constantly reminding Danny how it was technically his fault why I lost my job.
"It was because of some lanky Irish twat!" I declare dismissively, painfully awaiting my second question. As is only to prolong my agonising pain, Mark allows Rina to ask before him.
"How many serious relationships have you ever had?" She asks, ever the meaningful one.
"Two, if you'd even count the first one as a relationship..." I laugh almost bitterly, instantly scorning myself for making such a remark in front of the man himself. Finally it is time for Mark's question.
"Do you still have feelings for our Danny boy?" My insufficient brain allows me to answer this question with almost humour.
"That all depends on what type of feeling you mean Marky..."
"Do you still love him?"
"Of course I do! Who wouldn't love his adorable face?!"
"Me!" Mark and Rina declare at same time: they are far too well suited.
After numerous truths, dares and yet more drink, Mark challenges Danny and I to a battle. Who can get a kiss from a stranger first. I find this more than unfair; who wouldn't want to snog his face off? Then again, most of the people in here are men.
"One condition," Mark adds,"They must approach you." Most definitely up for the challenge, I make my way onto the damce floor, closely followed by Danny. This game is well and truly on.
