So Wake Me Up When September Ends just came on so I'm really happy. Because this is like my favorite Green Day song.
A little thing that I learned about this song (I found this while searching Green Day on Pinterest. I'm not creepy) :
Billie Joe Armstrong the lead singer of Green Day wrote this song about his father who died of cancer on September 1st 1982. At his funeral Billie cried, ran home and locked himself in his room. His mother knocked on the door, Billie simply said "What Me Up When September Ends." Hence the title.
