Harry Potter, Draco's Story- The Change

Draco's POV

"This is stupid, I shouldn't even have come back" Draco sneered as paced around the Slytherin common room, "I will not have this family name disgraced any more than it already is" He said mimicking his mum's voice after he had told her he was not going back. Annoyed, Draco left the Slytherin common room and was headed out to get some fresh air and clear his mind, but as he passed the library he collided with a Gryffindor girl knocking all her books to the ground, "what is wrong with you! Are you blind? God watch where you're going next time" Draco yells when all of a sudden a hand collides with his face, the Gryffindor girl grabs Draco by the shirt, "do not mess with me Draco Malfoy, I mean it" she says in a threatening tone, she lets go of his shirt pushing him back a bit, collects her stuff and walk off in the opposite direction, leaving Draco standing there lost.

What just happened here? Who was that? A Gryffindor did just say that to me? Draco was speechless and confused; he turned around and walked towards the entrance that leads outside.

Draco sat on a rock for hours, as the time went by he attempted to make sense of all that had happened, but every time he thought he had an explanation his thoughts were directed back to that girl. "It's you again" a voice says behind him, Draco turns around surprised that anyone would be bothering him, "you know what? You really need friends, maybe then you wouldn't be so angry all the time but that's just my thoughts" It was the Gryffindor girl, she walks off swiftly with a smile playing on her face, Draco gets up and follows, "you don't know me, so why do you act like you do?" he says annoyed at what she said, she turns around, "you have this certain vibe about you, it's very" she pauses "dark", still smiling. Draco doesn't know why, but he couldn't stop himself from smiling,

"You've got guts, I'll tell you that" he says as he turns to leave but before he's a metre away he stops "What's your name newbie??" he asks, "Odeliya, Odeliya Diggery" Where have I heard that last name before? But as he turns around to face her she was gone.

It's getting late; I should probably get some rest before I have to deal with this shit-hole of a school tomorrow. Draco made his way through the garden towards the doorway of the main entrance, shadows from nearby trees danced along the newly renovated pavements, he stopped suddenly, there was a faint sound of metal being dragged along the concrete, from the corner of his eye he could see something glistening in the dark slowly moving towards him. As he peered down to look at the strange object he can see that it was a scroll,

'Don't do it Draco' he told himself, but it was already too late. As he bent down and cautiously picked up the scroll he could see it more clearly now, the metal scroll had a python whose body wrapped around the body of the scroll engraved onto it. Where did this strange scroll appear from?

Draco knew that he shouldn't have picked up the strange scroll that appeared out of nowhere but he was already too intrigued to throw it away. 'Don't be stupid Draco, this could be a trap', his conscious kept warning him not to open the foreign object, He had already mentally processed that the object was not to be trusted, but he couldn't drop his eagerness to know what was inside. As he opened the scroll, a parchment slipped out, Inscribed on the piece of parchment was writing messily scrawled that read:

"Revenge is sweet, although bitter at first

Those who seek shall unbind the curse.

-P.s- I stood on the bridge at midnight,

As the clocks were striking the hour"- B

It was signed 'B', Draco didn't know whether he was scared or not, but he knew that it wasn't good.
