A/N: I'm sorry so much shit is going to go down.

Jk I hope you cry.

Trigger Warning: acephobia

Onto the story!

It was a few days later, and Toast was still trying to figure out what could be so terrible it would make Bagel cry. Bagel was so happy all the time. Maybe he didn't like her anymore? That would be terrible, they're soulmates. Besides, who could possibly dislike Toast? She's fucking awesome.

But at this point, Bagel was practically tearing himself apart on the inside; he felt so incredibly guilty for keeping this from Toast, for leading her on, but he simply couldn't tell her. If Baguette and Wheat's worry was any implication of how she might react, then Bagel knew he was fucked, because the last thing he wanted to do was hurt someone's feelings.

Thomas felt terrible for him, knowing that he must feel horrible about all of this, like it's his fault. It sure as hell wasn't his fault that he wasn't attracted to her; it was simply how his personality was, and you really can't do anything about that.

Thomas found himself not being able to take it anymore, and did something that only Wheat could see him doing; he was going to talk to Bagel.

Bagel had essentially locked himself in his room as much as he could for the last few days, and he certainly wasn't expecting anyone to actually try to interact with him.

Alas, he was proven wrong when he heard a knock upon his door, jumping slightly at the sharp noise, and hoping that it wasn't Toast, trying to stall further.

But as he opened the door, it was revealed that the figure was Thomas, which he also wasn't expecting. They didn't really know each other, but does anyone really know another person? Or, if you really want to have an existential crisis, do you even know yourself?

Thomas walked into Bagel's room, and looked at the floor for a second before sighing and coming right out with it.

"You need to tell her," he said. It wasn't even a question.

Bagel let out a sigh of distress before saying, "You think I don't know that? It's all I've been thinking about for the last couple days! Besides, I highly doubt that she'll be understanding, and I don't think I want to deal with that yet."

It was Thomas's turn to sigh.

"I know," he said, turning to give Bagel a hug. Bagel accepted the hug with much appreciation. "But what's the worst that can happen?" He continued after a moment. "If she reacts badly, then we'll know how much of a bitch she really is."

Bagel let out of chuckle, agreeing with Thomas.

Poor, poor breads, with their optimism. Anyone would know that optimism doesn't have a place in the world anymore.

Thomas left Bagel's room shortly after their conversation, and Bagel followed soon after, making up his mind.

When he got to the living room, he saw Thomas sitting with Wheat, holding each other's hands. Baguette still had a distressed look upon her face. Toast looked pissd off, and Bagel knew this was a bad time to do this, but it certainly wasn't going to do him any good to keep putting it off.

"Toast," he started, his voice sounding strangled, "We need to talk."

Toast seemed to let out to let out a snort that just screamed "oh really". Bagel wasn't feeling any better about this.

Bagel and Toast made their way upstairs to Bagel's room, as the rest of the group remained downstairs with bated breath.

Baguette felt like she was going to pass out. The last thing she wanted was for Toast to hurt Bagel in some way, and she couldn't help but feel like that was exactly what was going to happen.
