*Nova's Pov*
I walked out of the building, taking in a deep breath before going inside Krystal's car. I quickly shut the door, laid my head back and closed my eyes out of embarrassment.
"So how did it go?" Krystal impatiently asked. I opened my eyes to give her a look that meant how terribly wrong the plan went out.
"I completely fooled myself. The speech was good and everything but I don't know about the elevator." I said, running my fingers through my brown hair.
"Elevator? Nova what the hell happened back there? You were just supposed to get the men on your side." Krystal said, giving me the keys to start driving. I sighed and began to pull out of the parking, wanting to be far away as possible.
"I think I did that. But then Taehyung followed me inside the elevator which I don't know the reason why. I told him to stay out of my life because he's already with someone but he doesn't listen."
"Because he's still in love with you Nova. Everyone could see it, including Jinhya. I feel bad for the poor girl." Krystal pouted before smirking.
"I mean is she even pregnant? I've never seen or felt her stomach before when we talked." Krystal pointed out but it was honestly a stupid theory. She's obviously pregnant and it seems as if both Krystal and her are in the same trimester.
"Krystal really? If anything Taehyung would have found out since they both live together and probably sleep in the same bed."
I was in the parking gate of Krystal's and Kai's house, now remembering that I left my purse in my office with all of the documents and papers on my desk. Krystal slowly got out of the car, holding onto her stomach as I watched over her carefully.
"I have to go back to the office to get my purse but I'll be right back." I promised, turning on the car as she shut the door.
"Okay but don't take so damn long. I want food and Kai can't cook for shit." That only made me laugh because it was true. He tried to bake cake once but he fell asleep and it was charcoal after a couple hours later.
"Okay bye babe." I waved, watching her every step as she walked inside.
-
"Oh Ms. Kim you're back?" My secretary Lila asked, taking my jacket, hanging it in my office closet."Yes I accidentally had left my papers back inside my office and I might as well do it here. Do you mind getting me a frappe? Get yourself one too." I smiled, sitting down on my chair as she left and closed my door to get my order.
A knock then interrupted my thoughts.
"Come in!" I shouted, watching the door open to see none other than Jinhya herself. What does she what?
"Oh hello Jinhya. Did you make an appointment?" I joked, trying to seem nice to her.
"No I was just wondering what things Taehyung liked and disliked. He would never tell me but I wanted to know so you're the only person who came to mind." She smiled softly, sitting down slowly. I couldn't help but keep my gaze on her growing stomach. The more I looked at it, the more of a reason to not intervene in Taehyung's life.
I coughed a little, finding the situation a little uncomfortable, but since it's his girlfriend or fiancée or whatever the hell they are, I had to help.
"I don't know much, but he hates vegetables, cheaters, doing dishes, told to shut up, burnt popcorn, changing clothes, annoying and slow people like Jimin, snakes and spiders, clowns and a lot more." I chuckled before continuing,
"He loves dogs well mainly all animals except snakes and spiders, waking up early to see the early sun, clean house, good food, loves cookies and hamburgers, friends and family, his hair being played around, laying on someone's lap, stargazing, and again a lot more." I finished off, looking at Jinhya and her expression. She looked quite sad actually.
"Are you okay?" I sincerely asked. I hated it when people get emotional and she's pregnant which could make it a lot worse. She bit her lip, nodding quickly before standing up.
"Yeah don't worry. You really do know a lot of things about him that even I hadn't figured out in the span of five years. But thank you for telling me." She stood up, waving a goodbye before walking out of the room.
As soon as the door shut closed, I took a deep breath and sighed from exhaustion. Just being around Jinhya made me felt nervous and that I was entering her territory with Taehyung. I took off my heels, randomly throwing it on the floor.
"I heard everything." A deep voice spoke up making me jump in fright. I opened my eyes to see Taehyung leaning on my door, giving me his famous smirk. I rolled my eyes, not wanting to pay any attention to him.
"So what?" I muttered under my breath, not looking up. I heard footsteps before hearing it stop near my desk.
"You still love me don't you?" He whispered.
I stopped writing to see him with a small smile. If I wasn't so annoyed and bothered by him I would have thought how handsome he looked. I stood up, walked around my desk, sitting on the corner of the desk.
"Why do you care Taehyung? It's not going to make much a difference. I would never think of you the same as I did back in high school. You're in a relationship, so why does that matter?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. He has Jinhya, why is he still around me?
"I know you wouldn't. But that doesn't mean anything. I'm still head over heels for you even after you dumped me." He said, taking a step forward. The look on his face was serious and it almost scared me to see the happy and cheerful Taehyung that I knew wasn't present.
"What do you mean dump you? I never dumped you. You left me in the airport waiting for you, you asshole." I jabbed my finger on his chest, pushing him back.
"Stop acting like the victim. You sent me that text before I even got to the airport telling me how you never loved me." He walked forward, cowering over me as both of his hands had a tight firm on my wrist.
"Saying how I was burden to your future life, that you loved Jimin and he was the one for you, to never contact you or to pick up your calls because you're only drunk and would tell me only the good things you were doing in America." By now, he was almost in tears as he continued to hesitate on his words.
I was at lost for words. Completely.
"Tae what are you saying?"
"You know exactly what I mean Nova! Stop acting as if you didn't hurt me and left me in a wreck for three years. Three years thinking you were in love with Jimin. Three years thinking that I ruined your life. I truly thought that it was my fault." He whispered the last sentence. I was already on the verge of a breakdown, thinking he ditched me and left to wait on him in the airport but he was hurt by what he thought I said.
"Taehyung that wasn't me. I didn't even have my phone that day. Whoever sent you those text messages was lying. I swear on it. I was waiting for you to come and see me but you never arrived, making me think that you didn't want to see me anymore. But I swear it wasn't me. It's impossible." I explained, the tears already flowing down my cheeks but I was silent. My heart was beating rapidly and my legs were shaking. I felt so dizzy that I had to kneel down on the floor to keep myself conscious.
"Nova please don't do this to me. I need to know the truth. I need to know the reason why that text was written to me." He knelt down to my level, both his hands on my face, holding it up delicately and wiping off the tears. I shook my head. I couldn't speak.
"I-I swear it wasn't me. I was even contemplating on staying just so I c-could see you." I wiped off the tears, not understanding anything that was happening. The look on his face showed sadness and disbelief. He then stood up slowly, leaving me kneeled on the ground.
"Then Nova. If it wasn't you then who sent me those text messages under your name?"
