"Good morning Ms. Kim." One of the men who worked for me greeted politely. I gave him a nod, as I did with the others all the way to my office.

"Hey girl, what's going on with you?" Laya pulled me into a bear hug. She was officially my new assistant since the old one had moved out of the city. When I told her, she was thrilled and immediately took the job. The interview wasn't even serious, all we did was laugh at the answers she would give me.

"I'm tired as hell right now. One of my men had a flat tire while he was taking Hyeri to school, so I had to call in a cab to take the both of them." I explained, kicking off my shoes before laying down on the couch.

Laya took off her shoes as well, sitting near me while sighing loudly until getting my attention.

"What's wrong with you?" I looked up seeing her fiddling with her skirt while pouting. "Men." She scoffed, quickly kneeling near the couch.

"I mean after Krystal gave birth to Minjae, Yoongi's been pestering me about having a kid together and I'm not ready for that."

That immediately got my attention. Yoongi wants kids? Since when? She brushed her hair behind her ear before continuing,

"We aren't even married yet or even engaged and he wants kids already. But I always laughed it off thinking he was joking but nope, he was serious. Very serious." She explained, scratching her forehead. I let out a snort as she continued to whine.

"I don't know why you're laughing, what about Taehyung huh?" She smirked.

"I don't know honestly. The only time we talked was for the interviews and speeches to be the next CEO but besides that, nothing." I said, standing up to sit on my chair, still barefooted.

"I mean can you blame the guy? For months he thought he was going to have a daughter but that Jinhya lied and about the messages too. It's her fault that you guys are like this with each other." She made a point. I couldn't blame anyone but Jinhya for this.

"True true but can you get me a caramel frappé from McDonald's please?" I asked, making her sigh even more, "Again Nova?" She stood up as I gave her a cheeky smile.

"Thanks love!" I hollered as she stuck out the middle finger before sliding the door close. I chuckled and continued to do my work.

Five minutes in and a knock had interrupted me. It was my uncle Jon. I didn't bother to put on my heels since my foot was already killing me.

"Hello uncle." I stood up and bowed. I only did it to him when we were at the company.

"Oh Nova you were always the sweetest to me out of the family." He chuckled, sitting down slowly on the chair in front of me.

"Are you okay uncle? You seem a little tired." I asked worriedly. He waved it off, still smiling.

"I came here to inform you about the election. It seems that both you and Taehyung are a tie as of now."

I nodded, now knowing that I need to step my game up if I wanted to have the position. If I won then I would be the first woman to ever work as the CEO.

"So I need to step up my game is that what you're telling me?" I asked as he nodded silently.

"He should be here in a couple of minutes and I shall be going on vacation to Manila." He stood up with the help of his cane.

"Wait why is he coming here?" I asked, my heart beating frantically already.

"Because I heard about what happened between the two of you. Don't think I didn't know about the past in high school. Make up or stop acting like a bunch of weenies." He slid the door open, smiling and waving at me before leaving.
