He grimaced then smirked.
He silently shifted back into the terror I've been fighting for ages.
He waved his hand and there they were. Three magical cages in a bright neon green. My friends were capsuled in two, and... The mirror...
"Oh, I can tell reality from fake becuase I, have stayed in this lowly depth of a home for years! I rotted down here for the longest time!!!"
"Talk!" I demanded. My sword materializing.
"I will. Sis. Just give me your amulet and I'll set your friends and the mirror free for you. Ah, you loved betting and trickery as a sibling. Especially your hilarious jokes and pranks." He sighed. Obviously reminiscing. "Sadly, this is an important one you have to deal with wisely..."
I breathed in and exhaled out. Keeping the amulet out of sight. It wasn't as easy thing to do however. I don't know what Flaubert is fully capable of.
Don't do it Heather!!! This is terrible!!! Just leave!!! Don't be a hero with your life!!!
This voice was familiar. Not the evil one that tortures me with the weight of killing somebody. It was... Pitchy... Screeched... It was Pepper...
I took my amulet of my neck. My sword de-materialized in an instant.
Pepper, Sam and the mirror were released.
I slowly gave Flaubert the amulet and he smiled.
"Thank you dear sister..." He smiled maniacally.
I limped towards Sam and Pepper and picked up the mirror.
"Sam, let's go back..." I said.
He nodded and we were teleported back to Snoeshore.
"Why do these things always happen to me?..." I grumbled falling on their couch.
"Oh... It's just... Natural isn't it?..." Pepper said slowly going into the kitchen.
And then I laughed... I wouldn't stop. I went delirious. Probably
Sam looked at me like I was insane... Which I probably was...
"How are you laughing?!" Sam asked outraged. "I mean, geez kid! You just lost your only protection and you won't even allow me to protect you!!!"
Instant silence.
I turned my smile down to the minimum and walked over to Sam and put my hand on his shoulder... I mean, the understanding way.
"Heh, I didn't lose it." I smiled. I materialized my sword in my hand.
Sam looked like he was going to lose it. I pulled my real amulet right out of my neck under my shirt collar.
"It's right here..." I smiled smugly now.
"How?... What did you give him?!" He smiled.
"Oh... Ummm... I'm sorry Pep. I had to give him your communication amulet... Heh. Sorry."
She emerged from the kitchen wearing her apron and frowning. Her frown though, instantly turned into a smile. "It's ok! In fact, It's perfect!!!"
"You pranked the guy?!" He shouted laughing.
"Yep!"
I looked at the mirror I left on the couch. I instantly became silent. I levitated the mirror over to me.
"Would ya... Well... Uh... Well... Welp... I mean... *sigh* Like me to leave you alone Heat?..." Sam asked stuttering a little.
"I told you not to call-"
