Number 1

A Few Months Later

It had been 7 months since James was born and he grew everyday. His small patch of thick black hair now covered the whole top of his head. He was a bit tall and strong for his age, but Ginny and Harry didn't mind that. He was could pull himslef up and he was getting better at standing everyday. He was getting strong enough that Harry was planning on getting him a mini broomstick to ride around the house on.

They had gotten into a routine at the Potter house. Harry and Ginny would wake up at 7 am every workday and would each shower and get dressed. Harry would sit at the kitchen table and read the Daily Prophet while Ginny cooked breakfast. After they both ate, Harry would get ready and leave for work. Once he was gone, Ginny would get James up and change him before giving him his breakfast. She would spend the rest of the day cleaning, playing with James, and receiving visiting family members. It was pretty much the same except for the fact that Harry stayed home on the weekends. Harry would watch James and do some chores while Ginny would do the laundry.

It was a good system and it worked well for them. They would still go to bed tired every night, but it was a good tired.

Once James was a month old, they started to take him out for visits with the family and even some of Ginny's team mates from the Holyhead Harpies. Wherever they went, everyone raved about how precious and how handsome the Potter baby was. The Prophet had even put in a paragraph about him on the second page. Somehow, they had no idea how, the paper had managed to get a picture of Ginny, Harry, and James when they had gone grocery shopping. Harry had been very upset by it, but didn't say anything as the article had been nothing but praise for the Potters and their child.

The rest of the family was doing well. Hermione and Ron had had their baby girl, Rose, in June. It came as a surprise to the rest of the family that Hermione said that she was pregnant again in November. George and Angelina had their baby as well. Roxanne was a very happy little baby. Fleur and Bill announced that they were expecting again, it would be another girl. Even Percy had announced to his family via a letter that he and his wife, Penelope, were awaiting their second child. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were ecstatic. Their family was growing and they would soon be completely surrounded by grandchildren.

As for Harry and Ginny themselves, they were getting used to the parenting life. They were about to enjoy even more of it since Ginny had announced two months before, in October, that she was pregnant again. As expected, the family was ecstatic. Their life was just as they had always wanted it.

Okie dokie guys! That was the very last part of "Number 1". I hope you all liked it. I do have more to write for other stories. I think I will do one about after their 3rd child, Lily, is born. I don't want to write a story for each kid, but I want to write a story about the family before James goes off to Hogwarts. So I guess this is kind of like a fan fiction series.
