Scarlett's POV:
I trudged out of the car, heaving a sigh. I'm going to be spending the next three months here... great. Can you sense my sarcasm? I walked across the bridge leading up to the enterance of the camp. It was around 9:00 am, and according to my wonderful mother, all the kids are either playing sports or doing some kind of activity. Ew... who gets up this early?
I strolled towards a cabin house, probably containing around two rooms. Apparently I will be sleeping in the "living room" (basically the damn kitchen). I was stomping angrily, downhill, when I slipped on the muddy grass. My head instantly shot up to see if anyone saw when I notice a girl around my age laughing at me. Oh. Right when I was about to stand up, the girl quickly helped me. She had darkish skin, and brown hair and eyes. Once she smiled, I could tell she is a friendly person. I mumbled a 'thanks' and continued walking back when she grabbed my arm.
"Hey, I'm Sarah! I am new here and I didn't know if you are also. I babysit a child here, while his parents work." I shyly nodded. I'm obviously not very good at human contact. Whoops. "Oh, and you should come by the main lodge sometime. My friends and I are always there."
"Okay. I'll think about it... thanks." I quickly walked away and stumbled into the house. This is absolute torture! I don't know anybody and I am in a completely different state. Perfect.
I laid down on my bed, also known as a piece of wood with some sheets. I sighed and closed my eyes. Sleep overtook me in seconds.

I woke, startled when I heard knocking on the door. I opened it to reveal three other girls, besides Sarah.
"Uhm... hi?" I awkwardly said. Maybe this is why I don't have a boyfriend. Oh, it all makes sense now.
"Hey! This is Kate, Rebecka, and Sadie." Sarah said, pointing. Kate was really pretty, with blonde long hair and blue eyes. Ugh I was jealous of her already. Then, Rebecka had short brown hair, and a nosering. Pretty cool. Sadie had blonde short hair and she was very perky. So this is the crew... where do I fit into this montage of pretty people? I smiled at all four of them and stepped outside. "So, you want to hang with us?" I thought about it for a while. Then, I nodded.
"I'd love to." We strolled through the fields, getting to know one another. They're actually really funny. We stayed until dark when some started retreating.
"Well we have to babysit in the morning, but I'll see you in the morning." Sarah said, bringing Rebecka and Sadie with her. I waved to them and turned to Kate.
"So, now what?" I asked. She grinned mischeviously.
"Boys... That's what's up." She tugged me along towards the boys bunks. I wasn't feeling comfortable in this situation at all.
"Uhm... are you sure we should?" She instantly ignored my question and stood, outside on the porch of one of the bunks. "Why did we stop?! Let's not." I tried to drag her away, but she wouldn't move an inch.
"Calm down. Live a little. We are meeting up with some guys, that's all. God, it's like you've never talked to a boy before." I blushed wildly. Yea, it has been a long time since I last talked to a guy... except for my brother. Unless you consider him a female... huh that'd explain a lot. The sound of a door opening interrupted my thoughts. Two guys stepped out.
"Hey Kate. I missed you." One of the boys say as he wraps his arms around her waist. Sigh. After five minutes of hugging, Kate nudges him. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm Dustin." He says. Dustin had brown short hair, sticking straight up by gel, and cat-like eyes. They were actually pretty scary. The kid next to him smiled down at me. He had brown, all-american boy hair with eyes to die for. I gulped. Wow, this guy is really hot.
"Thank you." Oh my god. Did I just say that out loud?! Ugh. I'm a disappoint to humans. "Anyway, I'm James. I must say that you are beautiful." I blushed. Oh, great. More embarrassment.
"Er---thanks?" I questioned. Hey you can't blame me. I don't get compliments about my face often. He smirked and I knew I completely blew every chance I had with him.
"I didn't quite catch your name." He stated.
"You'll figure it out." I said and winked. Whoa there... where did that confidence come from? Damn.
"It's a challenge. I like a challenge." He came closer and whispered in my ear. I laughed nervously, hoping he didn't notice the effect he had on me. It was on my bucketlist to date a guy... oh and have my first kiss, but let's be honest. That is not going to happen in a million years. I didn't say anything after his comment.
Right when it turned midnight, I stood up and yawned. My brown hair was in tangles and I doubt I looked attractive.
"I'm going to turn in for the night. It's nice meeting you Dustin and James." I waved to them and quickly walked away, making my great escape.
"Wait!" I turned around and saw James heaving after me, waving his arms frantically in the air. "You forgot something." I tilted my head in confusion.
"What are you--" I was silenced immediately after he kissed my cheek. He smiled, laughed and walked away. He really is taking advantage of me and its got to stop.
