You see before summer began my friend from Florida, Zandra, and I made a bucketlist. The first one on there?

1. First Kiss

Check.

2. Summer Romance

Check.

I didn't think either of these things would happen to a girl like me. I can barely carry on a conversation with a guy. But, things change. You get a sign from the world, screaming at you about the future. You keep wondering to yourself, "What'll happen next?". You're not specifically supposed to know what lies ahead of you. The only thing is, it can change you forever. You no longer see things how you used to see them. You no longer feel how you once felt. You no longer trust people you once trusted. In the end, it's all worth it. You get to experience how fast things change and that eventually, everything will fall into place. You'll meet someone that will help you see clearly. You'll meet someone that can remind you how you once felt. You'll meet someone that can finally help you trust again.

When I got back into the room, I realized what I got myself into. Soon I'll most likely be obsessing over this guy soon.

You know, it's hard pretending not to care for someone when in reality, they are all you want. All you wish and dream for. It was like I couldn't get enough of him.

The following day was hell. I prayed that he didn't tell anyone every detail. So right before he started leaving after we kissed, I grabbed his arm.

"Please do not tell your friends whether I was a good or bad kisser." I pleaded. He smirked.

"I would never do that I promise." Then he headed off grinning like a little boy with ice cream.

I headed back to my cabin that night. I could barely focus on sleep. My mind just kept wandering back to him. When I kissed James, it was like the whole world was gone. Like nothing else mattered.

I closed my eyes and relived the moment repeatedly. Darkness pulled me under as I fell asleep.

I awoke to the sound of Kate tugging me to wake up.

"Hey loser wake up!!!" She poked my arm more than once. I opened my eyes and saw her glaring at me.

"Good afternoon to you too." I mutter.

"You left me yesterday to talk to that horny C.I.T!" I started to laugh.

"Oh my I'm so sorry! I totally forgot about that kid. He's the storytelling one right?" I asked jokingly. The C.I.T guy was actually really nice. On occasion of course. "Honestly, I'm super sorry. I totally forgot. I guess I just got caught up in the moment. Sorry Kate-Kate." I gave her my best puppy eyes look and she instantly forgave me.

"Alright alright. NOW SPILL!" She screamed.

"Okay fine. So I was talking, so was he and we kissed. That's all you need to know." I winked and went to the bathroom to change.

"Dammit Scarlett!!" I heard from the bathroom. I quickly put on a striped tank top, shorts, and socks with slides.. Oh yes. I applied two swipes of mascara on each eye and put my black rose earrings on. Kate started to viciously knock on the door. "Hurry up! I guarantee James will want to talk to you." I wouldn't be sure about that. You see I wasn't exactly sure whether I was a one time hook up or not.

"Okay okay... Let's bounce." We sauntered out of the house and to the main office. Kate wanted to talk with Charles' mom. We were standing outside on the front porch, conversing with Jamie, Charles' mom, through the window screen. That's when two of James' friends walked by and started to clap towards me. Nerves started to course through me.
