It's three in the morning and I still couldn't fall asleep. It's been only a few hours since the boys left to go on their mini trip. I was slowly dying because I really wanted to trust him, but a small piece of me couldn't. After about another hour of contemplating, I went to Kate's room to ask if I could stay with her for the night, since I really couldn't be alone right now.

"Of course. Scarlett, if you really miss him that much, then how about I find out his number for you?" I felt like that would be so stalkerish and creepy, but then I realized that it's only for the summer, then I will most likely never see him again.

"Okay. Thanks K." I whimpered softly. Emotions are stupid. Kate had gotten his number through another one of his 'bunk buddies', Lance. It took me about 50 times trying to write out something that wouldn't be a lame excuse for texting. In the end, I just decided to go with my gut and play it cool.

'Hey... It's Angie. Kate had your number and gave it to me. If you don't want to text, I totally get it. I'll see you later." I looked down at my message one more time and sent it. I stared at my blank phone, waitng for it to ring. I waited until five a.m., until I fell asleep.

In the morning, I checked my phone and there was still no messages found from James. Sigh.

"Why isn't he texting back?!" I screamed. Kate woke up in an instant.

"Maybe their isn't a signal in my room?" Kate mentioned tiredly. I checked my phone to see the service and realized that she was right. So, maybe he hasn't been ignoring me all night. I walked outside of the room and waited. I was about to give up until I heard a slight ring of my phone go off. My heart started doing somersaults, and I was nervous to see what he wrote back.. if he did. Sure enough, it was James and he had said:

'Hey Scarlett. Sorry I couldn't get to my phone. I was asleep... and NO I like texting you haha. We are leaving today and heading back. Meet me when I get back?' I replied with a simple 'Yes.' and headed back to Kate's room.

"He texted back!" I exclaimed, while jumping repeatedly up and down.

"I knew he would! I mean come on, what guy would pass up the opportunity to talk to a girl. It's just logic." I laughed at Kate's response. So maybe it wasn't weird that I texted him first. We texted throughout the day and got to know each other more. He was being really sweet about it... now there was just one more day to get through. Towards the end of the night, Sarah, Kate and I were up in the staff lounge, playing pool with Scott and Walt. Well, they were playing pool, I was just kinda standing around. Scott was really drunk, but he wasn't one of those scary drunks. He laughed at everything which was very amusing. James and I haven't texted that much today, but just as I was thinking about when they were coming back, I received a text from him.

'Hey, we are 10 minutes away. Can I see you?' I looked back at the text. He probably wouldn't be allowed to see me, since it's past his curfew. Somehow, my fingers skimmed over the keyboard, and I typed back 'Yea.. Sure. Kate and I are in the fieldhouse.' He wrote back saying that he'd meet us right after he showers. I've never seen him without a shirt, so it must be a very nice view. I looked out of the staff window, which you can sorta see the parking lot from, and a big yellow bus pulled in. I got way too excited and pulled Kate's arm so we can run to the fieldhouse. Sarah just chuckled from behind us. I dragged Kate's arm about halfway until we started walking slowly. Once we reached the fieldhouse, I picked up a basketball and started to toss it into the air. We glanced outside to see the boys head back to the bunks to shower. Within five minutes, James emerged from the darkness outside, wearing a camp shirt, and regular basketball shorts.
