Returned (Part Two of Separated and Reunited)

POV - Third Person

Clary and Jace left the Institute after breakfast. "Those eggs were delicious!" Clary told Jace.

"Well I would suspect so." Jace replied. "You devoured them like there's no tomorrow," he smirked at her.

"Well maybe that has to do with the fact that I'm so used to Izzy's cooking." Clary laughed.

Jace chuckled then bent down and kissed her lightly on her forehead and then made his way down to her mouth. Jace almost lost his grip on the wheel, but thankfully Clary reminded him. "Thanks for watching the road." he said, smiling at her.

"And that's why I love you," she grinned making her dimples appear and then she kissed him on his cheek one last time.

(10 minutes later...)

Clary and Jace arrived at Magnus' apartment after they got a cup of coffee at Java Jones. As they walked along the sidewalk and up the tiny set of stairs, Jace suddenly gripped Clary's hand firmly. "Clary. You are my favorite girlfriend out of all the other girls I've dated," Jace said with a cute smirk.

"Wow, that was very unexpected," Clary replied as they both bursted out laughing.

They stopped in front of Magnus' door, still clasping hands. "Ladies first." Jace said in his dreamy voice. He bowed as Clary started to knock on Magnus' apartment door. Magnus opened the door right away. Clary looked at him and thought to herself, he is still dressed in glitter. As usual.

"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise," he said with his unusually happy voice.

"Hi Magnus! Are Alec and Isabelle here by any chance? Because we really need to talk." Clary questioned him.

"Actually yes, they are both right here." Magnus opened the door so both Jace and Clary could see them. Alec was reading one of Magnus' diaries while Isabelle was painting her toenails with one of Magnus' favorite nail polishes, "Glitter Galore!".

Jace and Clary stepped inside as Magnus whispered that Jocelyn was sleeping in her spare bedroom. Isabelle turned her head and caught a sight of Jace.

"JACE!" Isabelle yelled just as Alec turned his head to see his parabatai standing by the doorway next to Clary.

"Shh," Clary whispered. "Don't wake up my mom." Izzy completely ignored her and walked up to Jace, giving him a hug.

"Are you ok?", she asked. "Did Sebastian hurt you?"

"No I'm okay. Clary created an unbinding rune that separated me from Sebastian," he told them. Jace walked over to Alec and did there little "parabatai handshake."

"I missed you Jace." Alec said, trying to hold back the tear that was trickling down his face.

"I missed you too man." Jace replied.

They all sat on a piece of Magnus' furniture as Jace was telling the rest of Sebastian's evil plans to everyone.

"Okay, so Sebastian doesn't know that you two are separated?" Isabelle asked.

"Correct." Jace answered.

"Now that we know Sebastian's plans, we could try to stop him, but what if he finds out that your separated from him?" She questioned Jace.

"I guess we will just have to find out." he said.
