So this is my first review of a book that's not a wattpad story. It's a real book I read recently, that's the first in the House of Secrets. Before spoilers. Let me get my opinion out of the way. I really enjoyed this book, anyone else who is a big fan of fantasy, and doesn't mind some paranormal aspects or even likes them I'm sure will enjoy this book so please read it before my review. It deserves a lot more fans> U <

I'm going to now list the main characters from favorite to least favorite
#1 Will
#2 Eleanor
#3 Cordelia
# 4 Brendan
#5 Penelope Hope
Now let me give some quick explanations.
Will is such an accurate portrayal of his time line. Even his less likable traits like his sexism or incompetentness tie back to his time period compared modern day society.
Eleanor has such a whimsical view of the world. It's adorable! She also, while not being very smart is determined to do things, and has a truly pure heart.
Cordelia is a book nerd. A BOOK NERD, AND SHE HAS DIRTY BLONDE HAIR, AND SHE'S SARCASTIC, AND SHE FELL IN LOVE WITH A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. SHE'S ME GUYS. ME. Without the spontaneous explosions of energy of course.
Brendan out of the three Walker children entertained me the least. I did like how he was trying to be so brave for his sisters though. Maybe I didn't like him as much cause personally I can't relate to him at all, like Cordelia and Eleanor, and he doesn't have a super interesting character or backstory, like Will.
Penelope Hope, well she didn't give me any reason to like her. So yeah.
Notice how I tried to keep as many spoilers out of the book as possible? That's because I knew people would still read on. PLEASE GO READ THE BOOK.
It had a lot of intense or scary moments, and one particularly sad for me. That left m going "WHYYYYYY???"
So please give this book the attention it deserves by reading it, thank you!
