The new beginning

Crutches

Isabella's pov

      I never noticed how every body zooms bye talking to there friends in the hall I mean if you ever watch how ,in the four minute passing period to get from class to class, a lot of stuff happens. Some our walking slow and talking and some are zooming by before you can tell who it is there out of sight, it seems like a busy street in rush hour, but it's also a war zone. People bumping into each other causing fights to break out, and holding every one back, and when the minute bell rings people start flying down the hall, and that moment when someone is going slow in front of you and you finally get the courage to pass through the a gap between people, it closes and your stuck hoping you will get there in time at this slow pace.

     Now that I can't walk there is not much I can do, so our group usually hangs out at echothers houses and play Video games or we go to the movies or the park, today we are at karlees house hanging out, she has a huge two story  house, with a big yard, her mom made us homemade pizza for dinner, and now we are sitting around eating and talking.
"This pizza is awsome" Austin almost yelled
"We should come to karlees house more often" Nicole said
"So how is your brother doing" Taylor asked
Karlees brother is in the military
"Oh he is still mad he can't walk" she said back
" speaking of people that can't walk, Isabella you haven't said any thing about being able to walk again in a while" Nicole said and they all looked at me with this worried look.
Before I could answer my phone rang I got it out of my pocket and looked at it, it was the doctor.

Karlees pov

She talked to the doctor for a while before saying one last ok then hanging up when she did she had this look on her face that look like she was about to laugh and cry at the same time.
" what did he say" I asked in a quite calm voice
She didn't talk for a while but she finally sighed and said" he said from the results I am not improving and he wants to see me one more time and that's all he said"she said it so quite and calm we could very hear her,  after a long moment of silence she spoke again " I guess it's final I will never be able to walk again" another long pause of silence
" you might not have you legs but you have your friends and your dad" Taylor said
" ya will always be here for you" Austin said
Isabella  smiled and picked up her phone we all took a group picture, and then she called her dad, it rang for a long time but he did answer, " that's ok he's soposed to be back tomorrow, he's probably just busy." I said
" yay your right". She said

The next day I went to therapy after school, I got braces on my legs and crutches to help me balance. After he showed me how to walk on the small cane-like crouches the doctor said to keep the wheel chair but try to walk with the crutches for a few days to see is I could walk with them, and to report back to him in a week.

"Ok try it again" Taylor said
We all were at the park and I was practicing walking, on my new crouches, to a nearby tree and then back to the table we were siting at.
"I've tryed a million times let's give up for the day"  I say as karlee and Austin help me up and over to the table so I can sit.
"Ok I guess"  Taylor says, and Nichole wheels my wheel chair over and I get in.
"Any one want to grab some pizza" Austin asks
"No, can't we get something else to eat" Nichole whines
"Tacos?" Karlee asks
" sure "  we all say at the same time
"Ok tacos then my house"
"Sounds good" Austin says
So we go get tacos from  this store that I've never heard of then we head to karlees house.

After two weeks of trying the crutches the doctor finally took them away and took the braces off. I mean I want to walk  agian but I will never be able to walk with those things, all I want is for my dad to come home so at least something will go back to normal.
