She woke up in the morning in the arms of her lover with a deep sigh. It was inevitable, she was attached, and he was leaving. Analeigh buried he face deeper into Paul's chest and inhaled the familiar scent. Paul slowly woke up with a few groans.
"Good morning, love." he said with a yawn and a kiss on the forehead.
"Good morning." replied Analeigh a bit glum.
"Ah, come now. Don't be sad. I told you I'm gonna come back. And I'll call and write." he said pulling her closer.
"I know you will, Paul. I'm just gonna miss you."
"I'll miss you too, Analeigh." he grabbed her face forcing her to look at him. "I'm gonna come back." he said once more. "I need to jump in the shower now, love. It's almost 6 o'clock." He then peeled her from his body with one last kiss and went to the bathroom.
Analeigh got up from the warmth of the bed and went to go get some pants from her room. Opening the door to Paul's room, she ran straight into John. He was coming to wake Paul to get ready for the airport.
"Oh, sorry!" said John realizing she was only in a t-shirt; Paul's shirt.
"Oh, uh. It's okay. I as just going back to my room. Paul's in the shower now." she replied trying to make herself seem smaller than she was. She held her red dress from last night and her bra. This looks really bad, she thought.
"So..you and Paul did it then, eh?" asked John with a typical Lennon amusement on his face.
Punching John in the stomach and moving into the doorway she replied, "No, John. We didn't 'do it'. we just...fooled around a bit."
"Oh, I bet you did." he joked. "You two kept me up half the night. I'm right next door, ya know."
"Whatever, Lennon." she laughed with a blush spreading across her face . She then walked to her room and pulled on some pants, while Evelyn still slept gently on the bed nearby.
Paul was out of the shower and dressed when he called Analeigh to his room. They sat on the bed and talked for a few minutes, then looking at the clock, saw that it read 5:32.
"Paul..it's probably time for you to go.." said Analeigh in a quiet voice.
"It only takes 10 minutes to get there. I can stay just a bit longer." replied Paul moving his lips to hers.
They kissed for the remaining 10 minutes until there was a knock at the door.
"Come on, lover boy. Time to go." called George.
With a heavy sigh Paul broke the kiss, grabbed her hand and they walked downstairs. All the boys said goodbye giving hugs and pecks on the cheek with promises to call and write. Paul was last and all that was given was a slow kiss to the forehead, a tight hug, and a whisper of, "I'll be back. I promise." Without another look, he quickly walked out of the door not to be seen for 4 months.
Analeigh, now evaded by sleep, sunk herself into a chair by the door and cried because she trusted him too much, and she knew where that would lead her.
