Hermione's Point of View

_____________________

I wake up in an unfamiliar place with an arm around me. It takes me a minute to realize that I'm at Draco's and it's his arm around me. I close my eyes again and just before I fall asleep again I hear a soft voice speaking, "Hermione, I know you can't hear me but I love you. I love the way you talk, and sing. You stand up for yourself, you're not weak, you protect those you love, I admire this most about you. But for right now, I'll protect you. I'll protect you with all I've got. I'm not going to hurt you." I roll over and he sits bolt upright, "Did you hear me?" "Yes," I admit, "I heard everything since you said, Hermione I know you can't hear me. I'd woken up and I was about to go back to sleep but you started talking and I know I should've said something but I wanted to hear what you had to say. I'm sorry." He lays down again, "It's alright, I'm kind of glad you did, it means I don't have to tell you myself, when I know you're listening, it'd have been harder for me to tell you if I'd known you were listening." "It's okay." I say, "I'm the same way." He smiles at me, well no, it was more of a smirk, and says, "Yes, that makes sense seeing as yelling at Weasel King, you told him exactly what you had to say." "That's different, Draco." I say. He nods as if to say of course. I stand up and I feel his eyes on me, "What?" I ask turning around. "Nothing, can't I look at my beautiful girlfriend?" I blush lightly and he smirks, having achieved exactly what he'd wished for. I roll my eyes and walk to the bathroom to get ready. I put on jeans and a simple t-shirt after brushing my teeth. I throw Draco's shirt in the wash and walk out to the living room to turn on the news. He's, of course, already got it on. I sit next to him, "Would you make breakfast?" I ask. "Sure." He says, "What'd do you want?" "Toast," I say, "And milk please." He rolls his eyes at me, "Sure, love." I duck my head, I really hate blushing so much, he makes me blush and it's annoying.
He comes in a few minutes later with my food. He sits next to me and I eat quickly. Before I can put the plate away we hear a knock on the door. I stand to get it, it's Ginny. "Hey Ginny. Come in, we just finished breakfast, I can get you something." "I ate already." Ginny says. She turns to look at the side of the house, "Come on Harry, you can't possible think this will be that bad?" "Yes I can, I might approve of them dating but he is still Draco Malfoy." "Come on Harry," I say laughing. He walks in a few seconds later Ginny right behind him. "Hermione who's here?" Draco calls. "Ginny and Harry." "Shit." He says and I hear the bedroom door slam. I laugh, "He hasn't changed yet." I speak a little louder, "Or put on his makeup yet." "Shut up Hermione." I hear. Ginny laughs as Harry looks like he'd like to find this makeup. I laugh, "Sit down Harry, you too Ginny." "Did you do it yet?" "No and I wouldn't tell you if we had." Harry looks slightly embarrassed at this and I hear Draco's soft laugh from behind me, "Would I do that Weasley?" "Honest answer?" She asks. He rolls his eyes, "The answer's no I told you yesterday only when she's ready." "Seriously guys stop it." Harry mutters. "Seriously Harry, grow up." Ginny says. "If they were questioning me?' Harry asks. "I'd be rolling on the ground laughing." Ginny says. He glares, "Come on Ginny just say what you came to say." Harry says finally. "I came to say, congratulations. And also to announce that Harry and I are getting married." "You finally asked her!" I gasp, "I'm shocked I never thought you had the guts." "Shut up Hermione." "Now let's go tell the rest of your friends so they can do whatever it is that they do."
They leave and Draco smirks, "I like Weasley, she's hilarious." "Draco!" I exclaim, "Well would you really not tell her?" "I don't know she's Ginny you know, she'd probably tell everybody." "Yeah, okay." Draco says, "What'd you want to do?" "I want to cuddle obviously, no actually I want to go out for lunch, in a muggle area and talk to you without worrying what wizard hears us talking." "Alright." Draco says, "that sounds nice." "Let me go get ready." I say with a grin. "Lunch or a day out on the town." "Day out on the town I guess." I tell him and run to the room to change into something special.
