Chapter 4

*Katie's POV*

I woke up around 10 this morning and quickly changed to meet up with my new friends Sierra and April.  Alexis wasn't in the room, and so I was free to go without her asking where I was going.  I walked out of the Obelisk Blue girls dorm, and headed down towards the beach area where we met yesterday.  I saw teh both of them laying on the sand laughing and giggling at someone who was by them.  Of course the person that was with them was my brother, not that I cared.  I love him to death even when he's really annoying and I feel like I could kill him, but for the most part he's a sweet a really protective brother.  He knows how to cheer people up really well, it's his specialty besides dueling.  I walked up behind my brother, and gently hit his head.  He turns around, jumps up and hugs me to death.  "OMG WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN LIKE A DAY AND A HALF I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!" He yells in my ear.  I shove him off me and pat his head, "It's nice to see you too Jaden."  I sat down, and he sat down next to me.  April was looking at the two of us, "I don't see how you two are even twins.  You don't look anything alike at all!"  We laughed at that.  "What's so funny?  Am I missing something here?" April asks looking clueless.  "The only reason why we don't look alike is because I dye my hair and put in colored contacts, so that the media doesn't follow me everywhere I go unlike our Uncle." I say and lay back on my elbows.  "You have a famous Uncle?!  Let me guess it's Yuki Muto or um Joey Wheeler, I bet it's one of those two!  Just think what if you had Seto Kaiba as an Uncle, from what my dad said he wasn't that much of a pleasent guy." Sierra says a bit quietly.  I tensed up for a moment, "It's neither of those two, in fact it's Seto Kaiba.  I'm being dead serious.  He isn't as bad as you guys think, he took me in when neither one of my parents wanted me when I was around the age of 6 or around there.  He raised me like almost like I was his own child.  But when I turned 12 my parents wanted me back, he gave me back even though he didn't really want to but he did anyways.  But my parents only wanted to use me for their profit.  They entered Jaden and I into dueling tornaments, and when I placed in the top five you get quite a lot of money.  Our parents took it from me, and used it to benefit themselves but they wanted Jaden to keep his so he could go to a good college.  Eventually Uncle Seto found out, and he came took me back to his care.  Of course I didn't object though, living with him is a lot of fun especially since I get to help design somethings."  Both April and Sierra were staring at me just like a bomb was attached to me.  "You're not making that up are you?" Sierra asks still a bit shocked at how my life has been.  "No, she's dead serious about it.  I remember asking our parents where Katie was all the time, and we never really grew up together though.  We didn't see each other unless I went to visit our Uncle." Jaden says looking at the sky.  "So like do you still live with your uncle?" April asks me looking at me intently.  "Yeah.  I plan on it for a while still, even though most kids our age just wish to stop living with our parents/parent figures." I say laying down onto my back and close my eyes.  Not even a second later I heard someone yell, "JADEN!"  I open my eyes to see a light blue blob of hair attack Jaden.  "What is it Sy?" Jaden asks looking at him puzzled. "HE'S AFTER ME, I DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING THIS TIME AND HE'S COMING THIS WAY!!" Syrus yells panicing.  "Who's coming after you?" Jaden asks even more puzzled than before.  "Zane!  You know my older brother, and the best duelist on this whole island!" Syrus yells more.  I look up, and off in the distance a ways sure enough Zane was walking towards us.  "He's probably looking for me." I say not moving an inch.  I could tell all of their eyes moved to me.  "DID YOU DO SOMETHING TO ANGER HIM!?! DON'T ANGER HIM IT'S NOT A GOOD THING WHEN HE'S ANGRY, IT'S REALLY SCARY LIKE REALLY REALLY SCARY!!" Syrus yells at me.  We were all quiet for like what seemed forever, but it was really only like 3 minutes until Zane stood by all of us.  He looks at all of us, mostly Syrus who was trying to hide from his older brother.  "About time I found you, I've been looking for you for the past hour.  Crowler needs to see you in his office for something." Zane says turning to me.  I heard Syrus sigh in relief.  I groan, "But I don't want to see that pedo.  It'll rape me or something for sure, just watch me be right." I saw Syrus trying to tell me to stop, but meh I do what I want.  Zane sighed a bit fustrated, "I really don't want to make you go see him, but if you don't get up I'm going to have no choice."  "I'll take my chances then." I smirked.  I laid there and closed my eyes.  "I wouldn't do that if I were you, but haha don't say I didn't warn you." I heard Jaden say.  I going to ask him what in the world he was talking about, but someone lifted me off the ground.  "I warned you." Zane said as he threw me over his shoulder and walked to Crowler's office.  "You're an ass." I say to him.  He chuckled a bit at that, "I get that quite often."  I smiled.  "So like are you just going to carry me like this, or do I get to yell rape so you'll put me down?" I ask him.  He gently set me down onto the ground, and we continued our walk in silence.  We reached Crowler's office, and we heard him yell come in.  We walked in, and Crowler was standing there with my Uncle Seto.  "Ah good job Zane, I know I can always count on you." Crowler says proudly, and then glares at me.  "You needed to see me Professor." I say with a bit of dislike in my voice for him.  "Oh I didn't need to see you, but this important man right here does.  I hope you know who he is." Crowler says mocking me a bit.  "Yeah I know him.  He's my uncle." I say crossing my arms sassily.  Zane gives me a look of shock, and Crowler pretty much faints.  I saw that my uncle smiled at me.  After a moment Crowler ignored the fact.  "Well um where were we?  Ah yes, a few days ago some of the top academies in the world wanted to make a tornament for all dueling schools.  Of course us being the absolute best, we're competing and we're sending our two top duelists.  Which happens to be the both of you." Crowler says acting pround as hell.  My uncle then continued, "Each school is allowed two duelists, one of each gender.  If either of you refuse to do this I understand, it's a big responsibility to keep our repuatation of the best dueling school around.  So if either of you don't want to do this speak up now."  He looked at the both of us sternly, "Neither of you want to back down, we leave Saturday at 11 am sharp."  Both Zane and I nod in understandment.  Zane and I were walking out when Uncle Seto said, "Katie I would like to have a word with you.  In private, so if you don't mind Crowler could you step out for a few moments."  Crowler of course sprinted out of the room, not wanting to get on the bad side of my uncle.  "Yes?" I ask a bit nervous about what he wanted to talke to me about.  "I heard from Crowler that you've got some new legendary cards in your deck.  May I ask which ones he's talking about." He says to me.  I knew he was asking to look at the cards, not me just tell him which ones they were.  I took my deck out, and grabbed Sapphire Dragon and Sapphrie Ultimate Dragon.  I handed him the cards, he looks at them both carefully making sure that he gets every detail about them.  He handed them back to me, "Who gave these cards to you?"  I froze a bit, Seto still didn't really like Yugi and Joey that much but he could tolerate them.  But I have no idea how he'd react if he knew that Joey gave me these cards.  "Well um it was Joey Wheeler." I mumble.  I knew he heard me by the face he made, and I waited for him to get after me for it.  He sighed, "At least it was someone I know.  Lately there've been people doing the same thing, but the cards have something poisonous on them and it kills the people in days.  I wanted to make sure that you knew who gave them to you, I don't want to loose you." I smiled, and he gave me a hug.  "Now go back to your brother, or something I have some other important business to discuss while I'm here." Uncle said. I followed him out of Crowler's office and I saw Zane waiting for me.  Uncle Seto gave him a look, and walked towards Shepard's office.  "Aren't you so nice.  Waiting for me while I talked with my uncle." I say smiling at him.  "Well I don't have anything else better to do today so might as well wait." He said as we walked back outside.  "Well you could be planning for this tornament thing that we have to do next week or whenever." I say and yawn slightly.  "You could be planning too you know." He said as I started walking towards the beach again.  "How about we help each other, I mean you know about my deck kind of, but I don't know a thing about yours." I say and walk back towards Zane.  "Sounds good enough." He said as we get into a boat and head across the little lake pond thing towards the guys Obelisk dorm.  We walk in, and go to Zane's room and help each other put our decks together. 

*Hours later*

I just got back from Zane's dorm, and I was just going to head down to eat.  "Katie I haven't seen you since this morning!  Where have you been all day?" I hear Alexis ask me as she runs up to me.  "Well I was with Jaden for awhile, but then I was with Zane for rest of it.  He was helping me with my deck." I say not wanting her to know about the tornament.  She'll probably figure out about it sooner or later though.  She winks at me, "Anything special between you and Zane?"   I felt me cheeks heat up a little bit, "Alexis!  I haven't even known him that long, and you're asking if we're in a relaitonship.  Ask me again and I'll have my Sapphire Dragon blast you to the sun and back." She laughs, "I was only kidding Kat.  Just wait you'll see that there's something between the two of you, and when you do I'll just say that I called it."  I roll my eyes at her, "You do that Lex, knock yourself out doing so."  We laugh and talk during dinner, and for the rest of the night.
