Chapter 5

*Monday morning Katie's POV*

I felt someone shaking me.  "Go away." I groan and pull my covers over my head.  "Katie if you don't get your ass out of bed, then I'll make you get out!" I hear Alexis threaten me.  I pulled the covers off my head, and looked at the clock.  It was 8:13 am.  "Why are you waking me up so early?" I groan and get out of bed and get stuff to take a shower.  "Well we have class at 10, and I've seen how slow you can be.  Plus Crolwer loves students who arrive to class early.  We'll be there about 15 minutes early so don't get angry missy, just go get in the shower already." Alexis says shoving into our bathroom.  I took a nice 20 minute shower, put on my uniform and we headed to go get some breakfast.  It was 9:30 when we left the girl dorm, and it would take a few minutes to get to our classroom.  I was still a bit grumpy because I'm not used to waking up before 10 in the morning, unless I wake up on my own.  It was about 9:40 when we reached the academy part, and I was about to fall on my face asleep.  Alexis was laughing a bit at me, and I glared at her.  "Lex do you wish to be on my death wish cause if so just keep on doing what you're doing." I say with a slight growl in my voice.  "You're just so cute when you're mad.  I think you should let Chazzy-poo and Zane see you like this.  They'll fall head over heels for you." Alexis says smirking at me.  "Who should let themselves be seen by the Chazz?" I heard a snobbish voice behind me.  "Great just who I wanted to see this morning." I growl at Alexis.  "Uh I was just saying that you should be seen with Katie more often.  You two are obviously the best in the school." Alexis says trying to make something up.  Chazz looked at me, "Hn.  I'll think about it, depends on how good you are compared to me."  He then walks into the classroom.  I rolled my eyes, "He has such an ego." "You two are such a prefect match for each other." Alexis snickered.  "Whatever you think Lex.  You know you're just perfect for Jaden." I say smirking at her.  She gives me a clueless look, "Who?"  "Oh he's a no one, just my twin." I say at her.  "There's something wrong with you Katie, I hope you know that." Alexis says as wel walk into the room.  I follow her, and we head to the desks that were for Obelisks.  I sat down, and laid my head down on the desk.  I really didn't want to be here right now, I wanted to be in my bed asleep.  "Aw did someone get enough sleep last night." I heard Chazz say close by.  I kept my head down and thought 'I swear if he's next to me I'll punch somebody.'  "I don't think you did.  Don't stay up all night with Zane, because if you do you wont get any sleep." I heard him say right next to me.  "I swear if you don't shut up I'll punch you to the next dimension.  Plus how do you know I was with Zane yesterday?" I growl at him and pick my head up again.  "I saw the two of you go into his room, and I saw you leave from my window.  Which is making me wonder what the two of you were doing in there for all that time." He said giving me a look.  I blushed a little bit, but I kept a tough face on.  "I wanted help with my deck. That's it, so if you want to know what we did you can go ask Zane for yourself." I say glaring at him.  "Well if you say that's what you did, then I don't have any reason not to believe you.  You have one of the best decks around, well the school that is." He says leaning back and putting his hands behind his head.  I look at him weirdly.  "There's something wrong with you I think." I say and lean on my elbows.  He chuckles.  He was about to say something when Crowler came into the room.  "Settle down class we need to start...I SAID SETTLE DOWN!" Crowler says.  I looked in the direction that he was yelling towards, and of course it was Jaden and Syrus.  I mentally sigh, this was going to be a long year.

*2 Hours later (when class ends)*

I stand up and strech.  That had to have been the longest and worst class I've ever been in.  "Ready to Kat?" Lexie asks me.  We walked out of the room, and I noticed that Chazz was following us.  I turn around to face him, "May I help you?"  He had a smug look on his face, well so far it always looks like he has one.  "I wondering if later you wanted to hang out or something.  We could get to know each other better." He said with a slight smirk on his face.  I look at Lex, and she was smirking big time at me.  She nodded her head in a yes motion.  I sighed and said, "I guess it wouldn't hurt.  So when do you want to-" I didn't get to finish what I was saying.  "Great.  Meet me at the lighthouse tonight at 7:30." He said and walks away.  "Okay?" I say slightly confused.  I turn back to Alexis and we head out to get some lunch.  We sit down at a little café the island has.  A waiter comes and takes our order.  "So what are you and Chazz up to tonight." Alexis asks and wiggles her eyebrows at me.  "I swear Lex if you think we're going to date or something you can forget it!  I mean seriously just because I talk to a guy that doesn't mean that I'm going to date him or something.  We may be a word that called friends." I say giving her a slight glare.  She smirks, "Come on I know that you like either Chazz or Zane.  You can tell me seriously just tell me."  "I don't like anyone." I say leaning back on the chair that I was sitting in.  She rolls her eyes at me, "Whatever Kat, you know that you do like someone.  You just don't want to tell me, whenever you want to tell me you're free to."  The waiter brings our food before I could reply to that.  We eat in silence, and then pay.  We walk out, and see that a group of older girls that are in Slifer are walking right towards us.  "Get out of our way newbies." The one in the lead says.  "How about you're watching where you're going Slifer.  You know your rank, you're the lowest so you should be polite to the Obelisks.  If you think otherwise duel us." Alexis says putting her hands on her hips.  I saw April in the back of the group, she looked a bit nervous about all this.  "Fine we will.  April lets show these two Obelisk blues that you don't need to be in Obelisk to be the best." The girl in the lead said.  "O-okay Jessica." April stutters and walks forwards.  "Lets go to the beach to do this." Alexis says and heads towards the beach area.  "Hmph.  Fine." Jessica I think her name was says and follows the two of us.  I turn back and look at April, she looked really nervous right now.  I whispered to her, "April why you hanging with these girls?"  "They're the only other Slifer girls.  I don't like them but somehow I became a part of their group." She whispers back.  I gave her a sympathetic look.  We reached the beach, and got out our duel disks.  "Prepare to loose Obelisks!" Jessica says glaring at us.  "Whatever Slifer Slime. And I think that we'll start over here." Alexis says glaring at Jessica.  We drew our cards, and started.  I smirked I drew a fabulous hand.  Thanks to Zane I had some new cards that improved my deck fabulously.
