When the room was finally clean, to Jack's liking, both boys fell back on their beds. Each were extremely tired. It had taken about two hours to make the room 'perfect.' Toby thought it was completely unnecessary but Jack, being one of the few medics in the mansion, insisted his living space had to be as clean as his office. Toby still didn't think it was necessary. Though he was kinda glad that Jack wasn't a complete slob. But he never expected Jack to be a clean freak.
Jack had told Toby while they were cleaning that this was why he was always late to get out of his room on his days off. He would spend his mornings cleaning up the mess he had made during his work days. Toby had never really taken notice that Jack had been gone like that because he was usually out and about killing. He decided not to mention that to him. They had been silent most of the time while cleaning. Though Jack's mind would wander quite a bit, he was usually thinking about Toby. He liked how Toby worked hard, even if he didn't want to. That was a highly admirable characteristic to him.
They both looked over at each other grinning. Their cold room seemed much hotter than usual. Toby had never realized how perfecting a room could be so tiring. Jack watched Toby's chest rise and fall rapidly. Jack had done this so often he could breathe just fine afterwards. This impressed Toby quite a bit. He, himself, could run for three straight miles without breaking a sweat but this somehow had tuckered him out. He mentally sighed, I need to work out more I guess.
"So... How do you like your first day off here?" Jack asked.
Toby bit the corner of his lip as he thought. "Tiring." He chuckled.
Jack laughed. "Believe it or not it usually takes longer to get this done."
Toby raised a brow. "Really? I never w-would've guessed it." He replied, sarcasm dripping off of every word.
Jack chuckled softly as he turned over and looked at the ceiling. His heart began to beat faster as he continued to think about Toby. Anymore, Toby was the only thing on Jack's mind. Everything about him drove Jack crazy! He took a long, deep breath.
"Whelp, I guess we should head downstairs."
"If we do, you're c-carrying me." Toby said in a tired tone. "My legs feel like lead."
Jack rolled his head, getting up. "Fine." He said as if he were being forced to. On the inside he felt like his heart was going to explode with happiness. He was going to get to carry Toby again! He held back an excited grin.
Toby looked up at Jack as he came over. He was expecting Jack to throw him out of bed. It was his best bet. Jack could be pretty mischievous... And a little mean. Jack starred down at him before leaning down and picking Toby up bridal style. Toby felt his face begin to heat up as he starred up at Jack.
"You're legs still feel like lead?" Jack asked as he walked towards the door. Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes, Jack hoped.
Toby swallowed several times. Please understand I'm embarrassed and put me down, Toby thought. He couldn't speak nor move. One arm draped over his stomach while the other hung down. Jack smirked as he dug his fingers into the smaller boy's ribs. Toby squirmed while chuckling.
"Jack, don't! It tickles!" Toby said through giggles.
Jack ignored him and abused the spot. Toby started having fits of laughter as he thrashed about in Jack's tightening arms. He wasn't going to let Toby escape. Though the squirming boy was hard to keep in his grasp, especially when he was trying to tickle him. He eventually stopped, letting the younger man catch his breath.
"Jerk." Toby said with a grin. "Now can you put me down?"
Jack quickly set him down, pretending it was the best thing ever. He was a little sad to have Toby out of his arms but he would've had to put him down sometime. They continued towards the door, both jumping as it bursted open to reveal BEN, grinning from ear to ear. He was bouncing from one foot to the other, the bottom of his tunic flowing around his legs.
"Guys! Guess what guess what gue-"
"What?!" Jack asked before BEN said "guess what" twenty more times.
BEN gave a sly smirk. "You gotta guess."
"Hmm, do I get to beat your *ss for not telling us what's going on?" Jack asked, a little on the irritated side. BEN could do a pretty good job at getting on his nerves. Not to mention, because he died a teen, he tended to remain acting like one. Though, if he wanted to, he could act mature. This was not one of those times. Jack could tell that BEN would keep acting ultra hyper active if he didn't stop him now.
BEN stopped bouncing from one foot to the other as his body stiffened at the threat. He chuckled slightly, trying to calm down. "We don't have training tomorrow." He said quietly. "Actually... For the rest of the week."
This made Toby jump at least five feet off the ground. "Hooray!" He said as he landed, a huge grin on his face.
Jack scrunched his brows together, forming a frown in the middle of his forehead. "Why?" He asked. There had to be a reason behind it.
"Well, it's a little on the odd side. It's because people in the over-world are having spring break. Slenderman thinks we should have our own break, so we can relax." BEN replied. The excitement was evident in his voice.
Jack smiled a bit. A break did sound very nice. His muscles were sore and he needed a little more rest. "Good." Is all he said. He remained in a somewhat mysterious tone until Toby started jabbing him in the ribs, ripping a chuckle from him. "Okay okay! It's awesome, I admit it." He chuckles.
Toby gave a whoop of triumph. Jack rolled his head grinning.Jack decided to go for a walk after he and Toby had breakfast. He never truly took a day off. He liked to stay fit, not to mention he loved a walk in the forest. The serene environment always calmed him. Not many pastas chose to leave the mansion on their days off so it was a way to stay alone as well.
He soon came to a small clearing with a pond in it. He sat down against a tree, looking out across the pond into the darkening forest. He could hear birds chirping softly, lulling him into sense of safety. This was his little haven of safety. Where he could let go of all his emotions without someone knowing. He picked up a small flat round stone, skipping it across the pond. He watched it sink with a relaxed sigh. Everything felt so right.
For once Toby wasn't on his mind. He was completely away from the rest of his life. His demons weren't talking. Nothing was there. Only the birds, trees, and pond. Only the calm and quiet. Nothing more. Nothing less. Or so he thought.
On the other side of the pond sat Sully, watching him quietly from a tree. He knew this was Jack's favorite place to go. He also knew Jack vented aloud out here frequently. He was waiting to see what Jack had to say. Most of the time it was violent things, other times it was depressing. Right now he wanted to see if Jack would talk about Toby. He needed to find out.Jack was silent for a few minutes, doing breathing exercises. Mainly just smiling as his mind was empty. That was until Toby came into his mind, then he started ranting.
"I can't believe that I'm still not over Toby! I thought, by now, that I would have no interest in him! Nope, I can't seem to get him off my f*cking mind! Why can't I just like Clocky?! Of course my mind has to screw with me! I wish that I wasn't chosen to be his roommate! Had that not happened, I wouldn't look at him everyday and wish I could kiss him! I wouldn't have those disgusting thoughts of him on my mind!
"Then there's f*cking Sully! Of course he has to find out! Ha, I'm gonna be teased by him until I end up murdering him! Not to mention he'll probably tell everyone by the time this break is over! Then Toby won't want to share a room with me and every other boy will probably feel uncomfortable around me! I'll be a laughing stock!"
Sully listened to Jack's rant smirking. A thought began to form in his mind. Oh yes, he thought to himself, that'll do. He wouldn't tell every pasta. They hopefully would find out for themselves very soon.
