Ash's Betrayal

Nostalgia and Traitors

Ash, Serena, Bonnie and Clemont rode off at high speeds toward the Indigo Plateau, by now they had gotten used to it. Even Clemont has gotten used to the light speed of air travel. Far ahead they can see small of Kanto, they start accelerating to even higher speeds. After a few minutes they stopped to a sudden pokemons screech. Ash told Charizard to drop from the air and land to the point of the scream, Ash and Serena sees a meowth that was supposedly running from a group of Zubat, Golbat, Raticate and Nidorino. Ash and Serena took the advantage of the pokemons distractions and knocked them out quickly with Braixen and Charizard. By this time, Clemont and Bonnie caught up with them and saw what happened so they didn't need an explanation. 

Suddenly, a voice was heard behind them, "Wait, WHERE ARE MY POKEMON!" Ash turns and sees a team rocket grunt. "Oh look, more Pokemon, the boss will be pleased. Hand them over and you won't get hurt!" Ash didn't paid no mind as he disappeared and reappeared in front of the grunt, the grunt flinched as Ash chopped the side of his neck which knocked him out. He continued while Ash ties him to a tree, the meowth walked up to him and heard a voice, something he never thought he would hear. 

"Thanks mister," the meowth said. "If it weren't for you I'd be dead!" Ash, Serena, Bonnie and Clemont had shocked faces. 

Ash spoke up. "Hey, long time no see Meowth." Meowth was confused, he had never known this man before. 

"Excuse me, do I-." He stopped when he saw Ash's auburn eyes, "Ash?!?!" 

Ash smirked. "The one, the only." Meowth was glad to see Ash, especially since he quit team rocket. 

"So that must mean Serena, Bonnie and Clemont are those three guys/gals over there." 

Serena, Bonnie and Clemont all asked. "So, why are you RUNNING from team rocket?" Meowth had been lost into time and space right then and there. 

"Well, it all started out a year ago."

Flashback

We can see Jessie, James and meowth walking along the forest. They were hungry, pathetic and penniless. They were on their last stand. Why did they take this job? Why all the stealing and torture we give to our victims when we can live a normal happy life. 

"Agh, why did we have to do this." Said James. 

"I don't know James, if only I cou-." Then, Jessie hit a light bulb. "OH, HOW ABOUT WE START TO HAVE A JOURNEY. WE CAN BECOME PROFESSIONAL PERFORMERS AND TRAINERS. They earn lots and lots of money from battles too." 

They all thought for a moment. This was risky, they had to avoid team rocket or they will be hunted down for deserting. It was a rule that if you desert team rocket. You will be killed, Giovanni made this rule so you can't leave and then tell the police everything you know. 

"Good idea Jessie but I will stay a wild Pokemon. Become better on my own." Jessie and James had no problems with this however. 

"Your choice Meowth, stay safe and don't get into anymore trouble." They all started to get teary eyed and they all hugged each other while saying things along the line of I'll miss you etc. And they went their separate ways.

Flashback end

By the time Meowth finished, he broke down. "So, I'm guessing Jessie and James will be at the tournament then?" Meowth nodded. 

"Yeah, that's why I came but then a rocket goon saw me and recognised me as the Pokemon that deserted them." 

Ash then saw a movement on a branch, he moved his arm toward it with an eye glowing blue and said. "Come out if you don't want a bad time." (Sorry, couldn't resist lol) he waited but then the movement went away. 

"Oh well, let's get to the Pokemon centre, good luck Meowth." He waved away to Meowth and parted ways. They stepped in the Pokemon centre and walked up to the counter. They came in a week early so there wasn't any form of a line and walked straight to Nurse Joy. 

"Hi, have you come to register for the master's competition or the contest-performance?" Said Nurse jJy in her regular high pitched angelic voice. 

"Yes, Gold and I here would like to register for the masters competition and Pink would like to register for the contest-performance." Ash, Serena, Bonnie and Clemont had nicknames for this occasion,Ash was Red, Serena was Pink, Bonnie was Gold and, you guessed it, Clemont is lemo-, I mean, Yellow. 

"Okay, would you like to give me your pokedexes please?" The group apart from Clemont gave Nurse Joy their pokedexes and what she saw made her eyes widen. Ash noticed this and quickly took action. 

"Y-your mfmmfmfmf." 

Ash whispered "We. Do. Not. Want. Anyone. To. Know. Yet... Not until the first round." Nurse joy noded her head slowly. They all heard the auto-doors open and Ash checked to see who it was. What he saw made his blood boil. Hatred and rage in his eyes. It was them.
