Harry's POV-
I looked down at Louis who was staring into no where. I couldn't imagine what was going through his mind.
My heart was broken as well, and I didn't even know her well. I could've done something too. Why did I go to her boyfriend, the main source.
this is all my fault.
I could feel the tears starting in my eyes. They fell and hit Louis hair. He didn't budge though.
"Louis? I think we should get going.." I say softly
He continued to stare as more tears fell.
I lifted him up.
"Louis come on! help me out, I can't carry you the whole way" I beg, but nothing. All I got was dead weight.
I managed to pull him to the front lawn where I gave up and we both laid down looking up at the stars.
"Louis, I know you can hear me, and I need you to know that it's going to get better, you won't be hurting like this forever" I tell him
He looks at me
"It hurts so bad though" he whispers
"Hey, I know. Trust me. I'm hurting too. But I've lost people before..and the hurt will go away" I tell him softly
We both look up at the stars and a huge shooting star came flying across the sky.
I looked over at Louis who looked in awe at it.
"You okay Lou?" I ask
"Is it normal for me to wish it was me in Maya's spot?" He asks
I was silent for 2 minutes because I didn't quite know how to answer it.
"It's the guilt. no it's not normal, but after what happened, it is. that thought will eventually go away though. If it doesn't, then tell me." I say
Louis looks at me again
I look back at him.
"Harry..I dont know what to do right now" Louis cries
"Nothing, just enjoy the peace. It's quiet,
close your eyes and breathe." I tell him
And He did. He closed his eyes and breathed.
"I can't do this" he says shaking
"Yes you can.. how do you feel right now? " I ask
"Harry.. I feel like I'm drowning, and my raft is only feet away but my legs won't let me swim to grab it. Eventually this ocean of grief will suffocate me, let's just hope I can hold my breathe.." He says as more tears fall.
my heart shattered to a million little pieces when he said that.
I said nothing but hugged him closely as I looked up at the stars praying to God that he would help him.
