Author's Notes:

I have started to write faster after joining AMACONOFFICIAL's 3rd series. It hopefully will translate to good things for my WIP stories. (Friends, WIP means Work in Progress) Haha.

Here is my submission for their 19th prompt - Alden, Maine, and a date with the people they were a year ago.

I had to do some twisting though for this one but I hope this makes you smile today. :)

--------------------------------------------------------------

They've started to have quiet moments together.

People take for granted the beauty of being able to hold another person's hand without the use of words to communicate.

It is, at its very heart, the purest kind of dialogue.

And she did not want to ruin it.

But something she was not able to tell him an hour ago had started sending up flare signals in her mind, asking for attention, pleading to be brought to the surface.

"It's been a year na since that plywood incident" she just blurted out.

He turned to her and smiled, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Nakita ko nga kanina sa timehop ko e. Naisip ko, mahigit isang taon mo na pala akong crush."

Hinampas nya kaagad ito sa shoulder but did not deny what he said. PAANO NAMAN NYA MADE-DENY YUN?!?!

"Hay naku!" she exclaimed "If I could talk to the person I was a year ago, sasabihan ko siya - Huwag kang magka-crush dyan. Lagi ka niyang aasarin tungkol dun!"

And in her head, she knew that the person she was a year ago would have just laughed at that message. She was way too giddy back then, way too happy, and nothing could dampen her spirits.

She might even find that message cute and respond with a "AASARIN NYA AKO?!?? Talaga???" while looking like a kid left on her own to pick any candy at the store.

He was unfazed. He continued to smile throughout her tirade.

"If I could talk to the person I was a year ago" he began "sasabihin ko sa kanya na lagi mong tititigan nang mabuti yang may crush sa'yo."

At maganda talaga ako kahit di ako naiinis! Lagi akong maganda no!" she came back at him.

"Oo naman" he agreed, still unfazed by her crescendoing voice, and his smile widening "Magkaka-crush ba ako sa hindi maganda?"

She paused before answering - wanting to punch him and wanting to kiss him at the same time.

Dear God, how can a man be both infuriating and endearing?!? It should be against the very laws of nature!

She opened her mouth to tell him "Crush mo din pala ako e" but was stopped by his lips crashing down on hers briefly.

It was an interlude to the next moment of quiet they would have for the day - a moment where no words were needed but a lot would be said.

It is, at its very heart, the purest kind of dialogue.
