Chapter 2

The rest of the morning went by in a blur. Before i knew it i was sitting at our lunch table with no idea what was on my tray. There's only a few of us that actually sit at our table. There's CJ, Flo, then Flo's older sister Kristin and me.

"Alaska you can't avoid this forever!" Daisy says after trying to get me to talk about it all morning.

"Well i can try."

"You could try what?" Kristin asks as she sits down with a tray full of food. She eats A LOT! but never gains any weight. Kristin looks a lot like Flo, brown eyes, brown hair with blonde streaks, but Kristin is really tall and Daisy is shorter. I'm not calling Flo short or anything like really, she's only like a couple inches shorter than me. They both have glasses but mostly wear their contacts. I have glasses also but like them i wear contacts.

"The Group stopped her this morning. Then Michael asked her if she was dating anybody then they got paired to do a science project together." CJ says as if it was nothing. Well maybe it was nothing..

"Really?" Kristin says putting a spoonful of soup into her mouth.

I just nod and start picking at my Ceaser salad I supposedly picked.

CJ and Flo are talking about going to the football game this Saturday so i count my self out of the conversation (Sports aren't my thing) and Kristin is to busy eating to pay attention. So I just sit there. I can't eat, i'm to distracted.

This morning was probably the longest day of my live. This just proves how much your life can change in a matter of minutes.

The cafeteria went quite for a split second that if you weren't paying attention you wouldn't have noticed, but i did and that only means that the group just came into the cafeteria. My back is towards the door but i don't turn around. 'You know you're happy to partners with him.' That little voice in the back of my head states the obvious.

I'm sitting next to CJ so I look at Flo so I don't have the urge to turn my head to the doors. But when I look at her, her eyes are huge with shock. I look around the cafeteria and almost everyone is starting towards our table. I look at CJ and she's just as shocked as Daisy.

"Holy shit." She says looking towards the doors.

Finally I lose the battle with my self and turn around. And for the second time today I regretted it.

When i turn around I see Josh, Niall, Luke and of course Michael coming towards our table. Oh hell no.

I'm sure my expression mirrors Daisy's and Chain's as they stop right in front of us.

" 'Sup guys!" Kristin says as if it were one of us. Out of the whole school she's the only one not afraid of them.

I think i heard a pin drop. Thats how quiet it was right now.

"Nothing we just came to see if we could eat lunch with you guys." Michael says to Kristin while looking at me.

Kristin looks at me like she's asking me if its all right. "Sure." I squeaked.

"Cool."

Michael sits next to me, Niall sits next to Chain and Josh and Luke walk around the table to sit next to Kristin and Flo. All three boys are covered in tattoos. Niall has dirty blonde hair and a lip ring. Luke has blonde hair also but only has his lip pierced. Josh is older-he's in grade 12 like Kristin but he's nineteen and she's eighteen. He failed grade 9- but he still has a lot of tattoos and his lip pierced as well.

"So what should we do for our project?" he's asks me.

"We don't have to start the project till next week."
