The next morning, Addison got ready for her lessons. After having a quick shower and putting on her uniform, she grabbed her school bag and walked towards the front door. She saw Caiden and Maddison sitting at the dining table eating breakfast. Not wanting to intrude, Addison kept walking towards the door.
"Are we that bad company that you don't want to have breakfast with us?" Asked Caiden.
"Come eat with us!" Maddison added.
Addison was surprised by the invitation. She had thought that Caiden would want to keep the socialising to a minimum. Addison walked over to the dining table and sat opposite Maddison. There was already a plate laid out for her and a glass filled with orange juice. She was about to fill her plate with food when Caiden beat her to it. He filled it with some scrambled eggs while Addison grabbed two pieces of toast. "Thanks." Caiden didn't respond, instead, he took a large bite out of his toast.
"Did you sleep well?" Maddison asked.
"I did. What about you?"
Maddison nodded. "I had a dream that we all went ice skating. You weren't very good at it and you fell over. Cay tried to help you but he fell over too! It was so funny!"
Addison chuckled. "Seems quite accurate."
The three of them sat and ate quietly with small chit chat every now and then. Caiden was the first to finish, he waited patiently for the two girls to be done. Then he took Maddison's plate and glass and went to the kitchen to wash them. Addison followed behind him while Maddison went to watch TV.
"So you've settled in okay then?" Caiden asked.
"Yeah," Addison answered. He was being civil, Addison expected him to tell her how he didn't want her there. It was a little odd that he didn't.
"I have a safe in my wardrobe. If you have anything you want to be kept under lock and key then you can give it to me and I'll put in there."
Addison thought about it. The only important thing she had was her passport and her bank card. She had left her passport in her old dorm and she wanted to keep her bank card with her. She shook her head.
"What about your old dorm card?"
"Why do you want it?" Addison questioned.
"Incase you get it mixed up with this one." He handed her a spare dorm card for the Elite room.
Addison took it and put it into her blazer pocket. "Thanks." She took out her old dorm card and contemplated giving it to him. "What if I need to go back?"
"Then I'll give it to you."
Addison nodded her head and gave him the card. She would have liked to have kept the card but there was no use arguing with Caiden. He would keep going on until he won. After she washed her plate and glass, she walked back to the main room.
She said a quick goodbye to Maddison before rushing off to Psychology. She had under three minutes to get there before she was late. Addison managed to get there with ten seconds to spare. She took a seat next to Thomas and opened her books. Miss Collins was running late so Addison turned to Thomas. "How are you doing?"
"A lot better" He replied. He looked a lot better too. He no longer had dark circles under his eyes and his phone was nowhere in sight. Maybe their talk the other night had helped Thomas more than Addison had thought.
"Have you spoke to Cam or Valentina?"
Thomas shook his head. He winced at the mention of her name. "I'm trying to avoid them both."
