Chapter 7 • Her Addiction - His Problem.
Part 1
February 23, 2012
Chanel closed her eyes as she listened to Cole kick Money out of the house. This was what had been happening for the past months, Money coming in drunk and starting shit while Cole kicked him out before Money came back again the next day.
They had stopped giving her that medicine, they finally trusted her enough to know she wouldn't or couldn't escape. But they still were giving her drugs.
Steroids, the drug that made you stronger. It didn't do ALL of that for Chanel, instead it gave her more energy. The drugs they recently gave her made her body so restless it would take months for her to get her body back together so instead, Cole bought steroids.
Cole stepped back in the room and grabbed her hands. Chanel looked at Cole before slowly moving her own out of his. He sighed before grabbing the nail clippers off the table and snatching her hand back to him. He cut her nails every two weeks, scared she would scratch herself if they got too long. She barely had nails now.
"Money and I've been thinking," He told her before looking up at her,"we want to take our relationship to the next level."
Relationship? Chanel wanted to reply.
"Sexual." He finished. Chanel's eyes widened before she tried to pull her hand back. She hissed in pain as Cole cut her nail too low on purpose.
"No, please don't." She screamed before his hand went over her mouth.
He whispered to her, "Shut the hell up before you wake the neighbors."
The neighbors. The elder neighbors that had knocked on the door six times in the past month asking 'is everything alright?' in such a kind voice. She knew the old couple was thinking she and Cole was some crazy couple with Money as their roommate.
Chanel slowly nodded..
Chanel woke up to the sound of her door being pushed open and the heavy scent of liquor and weed.
A cold hand touched her face, "Hey baby, I missed you." She looked up to see Money staring at her with a big smile on his face, "You ready?"
She looked up at him in confusion and looked around her dark bedroom. They had moved from the basement and into her own bedroom until she was comfortable with sleeping with them.
He fully stood up before unbuttoning his jeans and sliding down the zipper.
She shook her head, he hadn't done this since they had her on that drug.
"Stop!" She screamed as she set up.
"I just wanna play." He chuckled before dropping his pants and boxers. His hand went to his erection as he looked into her eyes. His was filled with lust while hers was filled with disgust.
"No!" She shouted before going to get out the bed. His hand caught her ankle before her foot could make contact with the cold, wooden floor.
"Stop running." He groaned in annoyance before pulling her to the side of the bed and pulling down her shorts.
"Please don't do this." She cried before a sharp scream left her mouth as he bit her stomach.
"You see this." He told her before pulling the picture of Angel from his back pocket, "I went to see her today. She looks just like you. You want her to grow up and be the best she can be, right?"
Chanel nodded her head slowly and his hand came down onto cheek.
"Speak when I talk to you."
"Yes." She told him.
"We can do this with you cooperating or we can do this with your daughters blood on my hands. You pick... carefully."
She nodded quickly, "I'll do it."
"That's what I thought." He told her before throwing the picture on the floor and pulling off her panties, "you're so beautiful."
She stayed silent and closed her eyes while his hands traveled up and down her body, "you not gone say thank you?"
"Thank you." She replied as he positioned hisself between her legs.
She closed her eyes tightly and screamed in pain as he pushed inside her. The door was opened again before she heard cursing and a heavy thump. She could hear Cole's fist connecting with Money's jaw but she kept her eyes closed.
She could hear another knock at the door but she didn't care. They continued to fight before the door was pushed open and she could hear handcuffs and police commanding both men to stop.
A blanket was thrown on her before she heard Cole whisper, "tell them he raped you."
And to this day I still don't know why they didn't recognize me as the girl that was missing... Maybe everybody forgot..
NOW
Since Chanel wouldn't tell him anything, D' Mario her bought her a journal. He wanted her to write down how she felt and what happened. Ever since then, she hadn't put the journal down.
Chanel was sitting in her room, the syringe that was once full of steroids on the side of her bed.
She picked up her pencil and couldn't stop her hands as they moved to the paper.
Don't cry. Finally, I'm free. Be happy, smile for me. This doesn't have anything to do with you, D'Mario. I'm tired, too tired. I wish I told you about EVERYTHING, not just the disease that I'm sure you know about now. Let Angel know I love her, let her know mommy loves her so much and she's so sorry.
Love, Chanel
P.S. - I'll be watching..
Chanel ripped the page from the journal before folding it and grabbing the envelope she got from her doctor. She put it at the back of the journal until that time had come.
Chanel put her hand to her mouth as she coughed before feeling something wet drip down her fingers. She looked down at the red liquid before standing up quickly and walking to the bathroom..
She hadn't told anybody but for the past months she had been battling Liver damage. She had been hiding it good but now it was getting so hard. She never was hungry, she was throwing up at every hour, and she had missed her period.
There wasn't a spot on her skin but it was so itchy and it took the life of her not to scratch when she was in public.
She had gone to see the doctor and they wanted a operation done. She didn't have the money nor did she want to go to the hospital.
But she was starting to lose her fight..

D'Mario sighed as Vanessa threw her arms around his neck.
"V, stop." He told her and pushed her back causing her to fall on her ass.
Vanessa laid on the ground and the waterworks started.
"I can't do this by myself, D' Mario. I can't tell my mom, she would go crazy if she found out I was pregnant by some stranger." Vanessa cried.
"Look, you chose to have sex so you have to deal with the consequences." D'Mario sat on the couch and watched Vanessa, "you not even supposed to be drinking."
"What if I get a abortion?" She said, ignoring his reply.
"You wanna kill an innocent child?" He questioned, "something that you made, it probably won't with the right person but it's still apart of you. Have you even told ole dude?"
"I called and some old lady picked up. I think he gave me the wrong number." She told him as she put her hands to her face.
"Don't you have his address? The hell did y'all have sex at?"
"A motel." She sighed.
"Damn, Nessa." He told her.
They sat in silence before an idea popped in her head.
"My mom loves you, we can say it's yours. Chanel'll understand, y'all aren't even together. We were both drunk and we fucked and now it's a baby coming. Angel can have a sister or a brother."
A while broke out before D'Mario looked up to see Angel crying.
"Damn." D' Mario sighed as he stood up and walked to her, she ran away before he could get to her. He walked to his room to see her laid out on the bed with her thumb in her mouth and tears running down her face.
"What's wrong, mama?" He asked as he sat her on his lap.
"I no Auntie Nessa to bring me a sista. I want mommy!" She cried.
