Misty was at the top her game. Hit after hit.
She was in the studio with hakeem working on some new music.

While she was in the studio recording, her phone was going off non stop. Hakeem had to stop the recording.
Misty said "what hell are you doing?"
Hakeem said "your phone keeps going off."
Misty comes out of the booth and saw her mother calling her.
Misty answers the phone and says "yes Janice."
Janice said "do you think you can come new York this week?"
Misty said "why?"
Janice said "I dont want to tell you over the phone."
Misty said "why can't you tell me, what's going on, I haven't heard from you in a month, what's going on?"
Janice said "I'll text you the information."
Janice hung up the phone.
Hakeem said "what's wrong?"
Misty looked down at her phone and saw her mother texted her a address and a hospital.
Misty said "I don't know, but I think i need to go to new York."
Hakeem said "I let the family know."
Misty nodded as booked a flight to new York.

She got on the plane the same day. She texted Andre and told him she had a family emergency. She told Janice to meet her at the airport.

Misty saw Janice and walk over to her.

Misty said "can you tell me now."
Janice said "not now."
The whole car ride was silent. The arrived to the hospital.
Misty was getting uncomfortable.
The arrived outside a window and misty looked inside.
Misty said "is that..?"
Janice said "cancer, final stage, your father has been taking the treatment but his body is fighting it off."
Misty said "how come on no one told me?"
Janice said "we have made your life hell, you change your life for the better, to better yourself as a person, and me and your are sorry."
Misty said "I forgive you."
Misty walks in and sat by her father and held his hand.
She felt him squeeze her hand.
He said " M&M."
He always called her that because that is her favorite chocolate.
Misty wanted to cry.
Her father said "remember what I said."
Misty said "crying is a form of weakness."
Her father said "and your not weak, I have watch you grown into a beautiful young woman."
Misty said "I know will make dad, I will be here everyday, I'm not going anywhere."
Her father said "I know, but you have a life, you need to live it."
Misty kissed her father forehead.

She didn't know that the Lyon came to support her. And watching from the door.
