I sighed an opened the door to the party, which is already crowded.

I went over to Calum who was dancing with a blonde girl.

"Ayo, Ross! Y'made it, man!" He said as he fist-pumped me then continued dancing with the girl.

"Wouldn't miss it," I said casually.

"Drinks by the kitchen," he said as he pointed at the hallway.

I walked to the hallway and reached the kitchen, taking a cup of vodka which was already placed on the table.

Taking a sip, I scanned the room.

A familiar brunette was sitting on the couch, leg on leg and smiling.

Lara-Lauren-Laura.. Laura!

Just like I always see her, smiling like a dork, looking at people and smiling.

I walked over to her and sat down next to her.

She looked at me, the smile never leaving her face.

"You okay?" I asked, taking a sip of vodka.

"Yeah," she said nodding, the smile still not leaving her face.

"What's with the smile?" I asked curiously, she never doesn't smile.

"Well, why not smile?" She said shrugging and cocking her head to the side.

"What if you're sad?" I asked, taking another sip of vodka and feeling the burnt feeling on my throat.

"I choose to be happy, even when I'm sad, I force myself to smile. But, I'm never really sad.." She said shrugging with the same smile on.

"Ross. That's my name. You must be Laura," I said, offering my hand for her to shake.

"Yes, I am. And who wouldn't know the popular Ross Lynch?" She said after shooking my hand with a giggle.

I smiled and finished my cup of vodka, feeling a little dizzy.

"Want a drink?" I asked after standing up.

"Um.. Not really," she said.

With a nod, I walked to the kitchen table again, taking a cup of vodka and walking back to Laura.

While walking, I saw some couple making out.

Of course. It's a party after all.

After I walked pass them, I noticed something in the girls face.

She looked familiar. Since I was half drunk, I didn't really pay attention.

I walked backwards and saw her face clearly.

She opened her eyes, pulling away from the guy and looking at me, her eyes wide.

"Uh, Ross! I-I"

It was Maia.
