Readers POV

I had just left class to do to the bathroom when I heard what sounded to be a some boys yelling at someone.

I immediately took of running towards the yelling.

"Wow look the Emo fag didn't do our homework. It seems he wants a real ass whooping."

I stopped at the end of the hallway. I ran towards the boy, I had to get him away from these guys. I pushed the one, and the other left the boy alone to check on his friend.

I grabbed his hand and kept running. When we reached a janitors office he looked at me then at the boy. He heard the screams from the angry guys chasing us. He pointed towards his janitors closet signaling that we could hide in there.

I told him to tell my current teacher where I am. He nodded and walked of. I shut the door and locked it. There was a 2 chairs and table so the boy sat across from me.

"Are you okay, sorry I kind of dragged you away. I couldn't stand to see them picking on you like that." He looked away shyly.

"It's okay... If you didn't stop them I would probably be hospitalized." He smiled and turned to me.

"My name is (y/n). What is yours?" I realized I didn't even know this boy's name.

"It...it... It's Marcus." He seemed even shyer now.

"Come on loosen up, I won't hurt you. You can trust me." I smirked.

"That isn't it, I really like you. I mean, I am in your classes so I have liked you for a while. Sorry, that sounded creepy." He mentally slapped himself.

"No actually, it is fine. Do you want to go out for dinner sometime." I am so smooth.

"Sure, I would love that!" He beamed. Something about him made me happy.

He spoke again a red tint on his cheeks. "Can I have your number. I want to keep in touch."

I laughed more "of course you can. I would love to keep in touch."

That is how my relationship with Marcus grew. I was reminded of that as I was walking down the isle on my wedding day."
