Chapter 7

The look on their faces are the ones that I expected, surprised, and anger. Dominica is just as surprised as them. Obasi snarls in rage "Are you insane?! You dare break the one law that I have created, the one decree that kept us safe from harm and extinction?!"

"I believe that we should give humanity a chance to prove themselves that they have evolved into civil beings," I calmly responded.

"You are going against everything that we have built Marcus." Solomea says.

"I understand Solomea, but what is the point? They will discover us eventually, so why not start now?"

"Breaking this law will mean breaking our trust in you Marcus" Obasi says.

"Don't do this Marcus." says Cairo.

"I am sorry, but this needs to happen."

"Then we are sorry as well Marcus." Obasi says

With that, Solomea rises from her seat and sprints towards me. She manifested tendrils of fire and hurls them towards my direction. I dodge her attack, but she grabs my shoulder, I could feel her draining my energy, so I push her off. I look at the other chairs, and Cairo is there, Obasi is- I turn around and Obasi punches me in the face, and I am hurled three feet in the air. I grab my balance and land back on my feet. Solomea and Obasi try tag teaming me, but I am reading their moves and I'm dodging their blows.

Obasi yells my name and I feel a jolt of pain. I stop and hold my stomach. He picks me up and slams me on the floor. This has gone far enough, I think to myself. I rush up, and run towards them.

Solomea tries to stop me with her fire, but I just brush it past me. I go for Obasi and grab his throat. She tries to attack me from behind, but I lash out my wing and I impale her through the stomach. "I do not wish to hurt any of you" I say. They aren't listening so I toss them both beside Cairo. I see him take a step forward, but I rush till I am in front of his face like he never saw me. "Please not you too my friend." He does nothing but stand there and look at his siblings. Obasi stands up and rushes towards me. I stop him by holding my hand out and use my magic. I then force him to go on his knees.

"You are making a grave mistake Marcus." Obasi says.

"No, I am not. our species will go extinct if we keep this up. I am thinking of our races, not myself."

I release him from the spell, and I start walking away. He exhales and looks over at Solomea, she is sitting up but there is still a small hole in her stomach.

"You will not get away with this Marcus." Obasi implies.

"I already have"

I turn around and walk away, Dominica watched me fight the entire time and did not join. which is good. If she joined, then Obasi would have said her name, and she would have died. As far as I know, I am the only who has lived from Obasi saying my name. We both walk out of the throne room and I close the doors behind me with magic.

"You do realize that they will take Rogan's side now?" Dominica implies.

"I understand. I just did not think that they would have to make me fight them."

"Now we will have to train our army even harder. The war will happen sooner than expected."

"No more games. we will have to discipline them every way possible."

We walk out of the castle with our limo still there waiting for us. The driver opens the door and we both go in with the door closing behind us. I release the mind reading spell and immediately I hear Obasi in my head. "I do not know how you plan on doing this Marcus, But if there are humans hunting us, we will have no choice but to enforce our laws on them."

"I understand Obasi. And do not worry, our secret towns and cities will be hidden. That I can ensure you."

"Agreed. But you have waged war against us Marcus, we have no choice but to take the side of Rogan's army."

"I understand."

With that, I cannot here his voice anymore. I never knew that Obasi was telepathic. There may be things that even I do not know about the siblings. The limo driver drives off heading to the airport for our ride home.
