Me and Raiden were in big trouble since we left the room without Sensei letting us go. But Raiden took the blame and ended up having an hour detention. Which makes me feel extremely bad.

Crouching by the door where Raiden is having the detention I think about next Wednesday. The classroom door slams open making me jump and hit my head against the wall.

Grabbing my head I stand up and turn to see Raiden staring at me.

"What are you doing here?" He asks.

"Waiting for you!" I demand "Jeez, I hope there isn't going to be a lump"

"Thank you"

"Eh?" I look back to Raiden and see him crying "EH?! Why are you crying?!"

"Because I am happy" He says wiping the tears away with his wrists. Sighing I pull out a tissue from my bag and pass it to him while looking away.

"W-Wipe your tears" I say.

"Thank you" He says sniffing and takes the tissue wiping his tears away but he only cries more.

Sighing once again I take his hand and lead him down the corridor and down the stairs all the way to the bottom floor and outside.

Jeez, such a crybaby...



Looking at the piece of paper I look back to where the building stands. Well, it's not really a building, more like a shed. Opening the door I see Rio, a guy with a baseball ball in his hand and a girl who is typing on her computer.

"Ah! Kida-San you came!" Rio smiles brightly "W-Welcome to the team!"

"Oi, Kida-San, nice to meet ya, I'm Masahiro, you can just call me Hiro" The baseball player smiles and holds out his hand.

"Hotaru" I reply shaking his hand.

"Shizuka" The girl on the computer says to me but doesn't hold out her hand and continues typing.

"I think it might be just us" Rio sighs.

But she was wrong, the door slams open revealing...

"ALIEN!" I yell and jump back my hands ready.

"What are you doing here?" Raiden asks me pointing directally at me.

I swear we always end up in this situation...

"Ru-San, you know Atori-San?" Hiro asks me.

Raiden suddenly has a dark aura around him making me feel scared and I back away and hide behind Shizuka.

Raiden does a fake laugh and puts his arm around Hiro and looks at him with a evil glare "Masa-Kun... I am the only one who is allowed to call her Ru, got it?"

"Hai!" Hiro squeaks quietly.



"S-So... Raiden-San, Hotaru-San and Masahiro-San will be picking up the leaves this week, while me and Shizuka-San will be wiping down every chalk board in the school. These will be our first jobs" Rio-San tells us.

"Okay!" Hiro-Kun smiles and collects the black plastic bags.

Going outside we start collects the leaves with our metal poking sticks and with our hands and put them in the bags.

"How do you two know each other?" I ask

"Huh? Oh! Atori-Kun used to be on the baseball team" Hiro-Kun tells me smiling.

"Used to?" I ask and turn to Raiden who is looking at the ground.

"Mind your own business" He says coldly.

Frowning I chuck my bag of leaves at Raiden "Seeing your face is pissing me off!!"

Running away from both of them I make it up to the roof and lay there.

"Who does he think he is?!" I demand "He could of just said he didn't want to talk about it... How rude..." 

Shutting my eyes I feel like punching a wall...

I imagine Raiden in front of me and that I'm really mad at him. Reaching my hands towards his neck I only grip it lightly. But I cannot tighten my grip, bringing him closer to me I lean towards and...

"Hotaru"

Opening my eyes I see Raiden in front of me and my hands on my neck. My eyes twitching I scream and kick him away from me.

"H-How dare you sneak up on me like that!" I stand to my feet.

"I think you find Ru-Tan you were the one leaning towards me."

"BAKA!!" I yell and whack him on the back of his head.

"H-Here's your reward" Rio tells us and passes us and envelope and a small bag.

Looking in the bag I see a juice box, a piece of chocolate cake and a strawberry lollipop. What is this... elementary school?

Opening the envelope I find a 20 pound note is inside.

"You'll get 20 pound every week, I can't promise that you'll get the same thing" Rio says and bows "Thank you for coming! I'll see you next week!"

"Hai" We all say before leaving the shed.

Walking out of the school entrance I find a hand grabs hold of my wrist, turning to see who it is I see it's the girl with the laptop, Shizuka.

"I don't like chocolate, I'm scared of boys so" She passes her piece of the chocolate cake to me.

Scared of boys?

"Ah, thank you" I say taking her piece. She gives me a nod before rushing to black car which is waiting for her.

How strange...

"Hotaru-Chan!!" 

Turning around I see Hiro rushing up to me.

"Which way do you go?" He asks me with a smile and I point to the right.

He crouches to the floor and he mumbles "I go left... I-I-I'll walk you h-"

"Not a chance" The perverted alien comes along and kicks Hiro up the ass so Hiro goes to his kness.

"Wah! So mean Atori-Kun!" Hiro pouts.

"Go home" Raiden pouts back.

"Hai..................." 

Hiro waves me and Raiden a goodbye before we start walking. 

"I'll take you home" Raiden says to me with a face filled with no emotion looking straight forward.

"I'm okay." I say.

"Okay." He says.

Reaching the apartment I open the door to find a letter. Opening it I read out loud.

"'Dear Hotaru. 

I'm sorry but I can no longer send you money for your rent. I''m having the worst of luck, sorry. I suggest that you could get a part time job. Or. Go to your father.

Love, Your Auntie'"

Grabbing a purse and keys I chuck the letter of the floor and rush out of the apartment locking the door behind me.

Running down the steps I go to the road and call for a taxi. 

Finally getting attention from one of the drivers I get into the back and tell him where to go and make sure to hurry it up.

Reaching the building I pay the driver and get out walking to the double doors. Going inside I go to the front desk.

"I'd like to speak to Kida-San please" I say to the woman and she points to where his room is.

The woman tells me he's having a meeting but I don't listen.

Slamming the door open I see the man I'm looking for.

"Father. I'm taking you're offer as long as you pay me rent for the apartment"

Everyone looks at me.

My father grins "Excellent."
