Olive's POV

It was a quiet day at the squad, only two odd cases had been reported all day. Otto was at the break room currently, so I sat down at my desk and pulled out my diary.

It's been a month since Otto and I became Mr. and Ms. O's. The first two weeks overwhelmed me, with all that had to be done. I was busy meeting our new agents, setting up our office, and coaching Otto on how to be a Mr. O. Not to mention we had to prepare for Otto's birthday party! It was Soundcheck themed, of course. But I still enjoyed it. It was really great to see all of our old co-workers again! But that was three weeks ago. I've settled into the daily routine now, at least for the most part. Today has been particularly slow though. Whenever I'm not working, my mind always wanders to Oscar. We promised to still hang out sometimes, but we've both been too busy to set anything up. I miss seeing him and talking to him every day. And I can't help but think of what could have been. I worked at the squad for all those years, always wanting to tell him of my feelings for him. Then, when I finally summed up enough courage to do so, I was promoted! I don't know what to think. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens with our relationship.

I hurriedly put my diary away, seeing Otto climb the stairs to the second floor. He still doesn't know about me and Oscar's relationship, and for now, I kinda want to keep it that way.

He burst into our office with a huge grin on his face.

"Olive! SoundcheckishavingaconcerttonightandIjustwonfrontrowtickets!"

I raised my eyebrows. "Slow down, Otto. You know I can't understand you when you talk that fast!"

Ms. O (Oprah)'s POV

"Hi, this is my juice box phone. Please call me back on my regular phone."

Seeing the purple phone ring on my desk, I picked it up and listened to the voice on the other end.

"Hey Ms. O...prah! It's Oscar. I've closed the lab for today, and was wondering if you'd like to hang out for a little while!"

"Hi Oscar! That sounds fun. Where do you wanna meet?"

"Let's meet at the park."

"Okay...sounds good. See you there!"

I hung up and called to my assistants, "I'm heading out for a break!"

Once I arrived at the park, I sat down on a bench and waited for Oscar's arrival.

Whoosh.

I turned as he walked out from behind a nearby tree.

"Hey! How're you doing, Oprah?"

I smiled as he came to sit next to me.

"I'm doing good. How about you?"

"Busy. Being Lab Director is fun, but it's a lot of work!"

"I'm glad you're settling in so fast! It took me a while to adjust to being Ms. O when I got promoted all those years ago."

I caught the sad look that crossed his face for a moment.

"You're thinking about Olive, aren't you?"

"Wha—how'd you know that?"

"You didn't think I didn't know about your relationship, did you?"

He looked at me a bit shocked.

"Um...well yeah, I, uh, didn't realize..." He trailed off.

"It's okay, Oscar. I'm not your boss anymore...we're just friends. Besides, I have unfinished history with someone, too."

"Oh yeah? And who would that be, Oprah?"

I smirked, "That's for me to know and you to never find out."

"I bet it's O'Don—"

"Uh uh uh, I'm not telling!" I playfully smacked his arm.

He pulled away with mock puppy eyes.

"Please? Tell me, who is it?"

I laughed, "Nope! But anyways, we were talking about Olive and you, not me."

"Heh, well, there's not much to talk about."

"Don't you miss her? I know you do, Oscar. I can always tell when you're thinking of her, because you get that distant look on your face."

"Of course I miss her! It's just, well, we've both been too busy to see each other lately. I haven't seen her since Otto's birthday party!"

"You should call her."

"What? I c-can't do that! I-I'm sure she's too busy to talk right now anyways."

"Don't be a scaredy-cat, Oscar! You've called her plenty of times before. Why would it be different now?"

"Um, because she's a Ms. O now?"

"Oscar, you're never going to schedule anything with her, sitting here arguing with me about it."

"B-but—"

I stood up in front of him.

"No buts, cuts, or coconuts. Now I am going to act like your boss. You have to call Olive!"

"I'll think about it."

"Good enough."
