"I'll see you by the beach at 8:00."

It was the last thing RJ said to her when he walked her back to her room after spending hours hanging out by the pool.

When he invited her for dinner by the beach, of course, she said yes. Mag-iinarte pa ba? But aside from telling her the time, wala na sya'ng ibang idea kung anong gagawin nila mamayang gabi.

He'll see me na lang daw sa beach. Bakit hindi pa magsabay na lang, eh sa iisang villa lang naman kami manggagaling?

As early as 7:30, Maine finished getting ready. She stood in front of the mirror to see if she looks alright. She decided to wear her favorite yellow sundress, she slightly curled her hair down making it look like a mermaid hair, and then paired her dress with.. slippers.

Beach feels, ganon.

She's all set, but she decided to wait for RJ to pick her up.

Baka sabihin ang excited ko. Totoo naman, pero pabebe ka ng konti, self. Relax, wag atat.

It's already 7:50 but still no RJ knocking on her door. So, she decided to go to him instead. When she got out of her room, she saw a note taped on her door and it reads:

"Waiting for you at the beach, sunshine. See you!"

"Ay baliw? Dumaan na pala dito, hindi pa ako sinabay. Mga pauso nito ni Faulkerson eh. Very well then.."

She took the note and went to the beach. It's already dark outside and the wind is slightly stronger than it was earlier. The lights from the other villas that she passed by guided her to the beach. She could hear the sound of the waves from the ocean and as soon as she reached the bottom of the stairs that leads to the beach, she held her breath and her heart has gone into a somersault.

There he is.

Looking so immaculate with his all white outfit and beautiful smile, surrounded with little candle lights on the sand, he was standing few feet away from her.

When she saw the setup where they will be having dinner, she figured out why he had to leave the villa first. The setup showed how much effort he had to put in to preparing everything. She was in awe.

He sets up a wide picnic blanket on the sand, carefully surrounded with candles and in the middle of it was a coffee table that was big enough for the two of them to have dinner at. About six feet away from them is probably her favorite thing about the setup -- a bonfire.

He gave her a one stem yellow carnation before offering her a seat on one the side of the table, then he sat on the opposite side.

Some of the food they had for dinner was Playa Resort's specialty and the others, apparently, he prepared them himself.

It was like in the movies. Everything looked perfect. The candles, the flower, the food, the setup, the beach, the stars. It was like someone was reading a Nicholas Sparks book somewhere and there they are, reenacting everything.

If anyone sees them, those people will probably think it was too cheesy and overly done. But for her, it's the best date night she ever had and she wouldn't have it any other way.
