You know that feeling on Christmas morning when you wake up and all you can think about it what’s underneath the tree? The minute I woke up, that’s how I felt, except I was thinking about the gift that was sitting on my dresser rather than the ones downstairs.

I got out of bed and immediately go for the silver bundle waiting for me. I sit on my bed and untie the little pink ribbon. I unfold the wrapping paper to find a CD in a plastic case. There was no label on it. A note flutters to the ground. I set aside the CD to pick it up.

“The final letter is M. Now you have sixteen. Unscramble each word to find out exactly what they mean (;”

I smile at the rhyme and quickly get to work. I grabbed my notepad where I had all the letters written down.

I decided to tear them off so I could rearrange them without having to rewrite them. I started with the last word. Two letters. How much simpler could it be? It took me about half a second to realize it said ME. I had the same process occur with the third word. TO.

Now I just had the first two left. Starting with word one, I began moving around the letters. After about a minute of trying different letter combinations, I figured it must say YOURE.

The final word was the most challenging, but after I figured it out I felt stupid for not realizing it sooner. PERFECT. He says it to me nearly every day. How slow am I?

I finally cracked the code. The whole time I’ve been wondering what these letters meant, they really were just spelling out something he had been trying to make me realize ever since Parker knocked me down.

YOURE_PERFECT_TO_ME

It nearly brought a tear to my eye.

That wasn’t the only thing though. I still had the CD. As I pulled out my computer and cracked open the disk’s case, I figured nothing could make me happier than I was at that very moment.

Boy was I wrong.

I slide in the disk and didn’t even bother to put in headphones as I waited for whatever was on it to pop up. My music player started up, and soon enough a beautiful tune started to play through my ears. My hand flew to my heart in shock.

He wrote me a song.

“Your hand fits in mine
Like it's made just for me
But bear this in mind
It was meant to be
And I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks
And it all makes sense to me”

I listened closely to the lyrics. This must’ve been what he and the boys recorded in London. No wonder he wouldn’t tell me.
