Aomine buzzed with energy, and everyone could tell. It wasn't that he was nervous, but you figured that his talent was so strong, it radiated power. It was different than how the others were, but that only made you more intrigued.

Midorima held a power that seemed strict, as if he himself had made limits for it and doesn't want to stray from it. This made you think. What was his true potential?

Akashi held a power that made you question what you were doing. His power made him seem like the end-the end of the game or, if it came to it, the end of you.

Kise's was a playful yet serious type. If truly discovered, you knew that he would be a force to reckon with. He seemed playful everywhere except the basketball court.

Murasakibara had a lazy yet dominating power. Honestly, it fit him perfectly, and that scared you a little. Whenever his slightly hooded, looked to you, you had the urge to hug him. It wasn't your fault for thinking that, he looked cuddly.

As each of them lined up on their respective teams, you saw how each team was well rounded in their own way. One thing that struck you hard was how each person acknowledged Kuroko as someone as strong as themselves.

But when the game started, you saw Kuroko's true power. One team was Aomine, Kuroko, and Kise- the other was Midorima, Akashi, and Murasakibara.  As Momoi stood near the court and blew her whistle, everyone sprang into motion.

Murasakibara obviously got the ball, and passed back to Akashi. Aomine dashed forward to guard Akashi, but Kise ran to Murasakibara. Kuroko was nowhere to be seen. Midorima leaped up and positioned himself to shoot without the ball. Suddenly, Akashi zipped the ball across the court after faking out Aomine and leaving him in a heap. The ball was neatly tucked into Midorima's hands until Midorima shot it from near his free-throw line, and neatly swished it into the basket farther from him.

You sat there with your hands primly folded and placed in your lap, but your face showed all of your surprise. As Akashi and Midorima passed by, you were able to hear:

Akashi- good shot

Midorima- I'm surprised you were able to time it so well, considering we've never done this before

And that was when you lost it. "What the hell is up with you??" You turned to Akashi, who had a face that showed that you shouldn't yell at him any longer. You quieted down. "How could you do-" hands frantically waving, you spluttered before finally saying, "that?"

"Well, Aka-chin is pretty good at basketball, I guess." Murasakibara's answer made your jaw drop even more. How do they describe good? Are they gods?

"Why thank you, Murasakibara. But, I'm sorry to say that we need to head down to defense. The others have been kind enough to allow us to have a small break." Akashi left and jogged back to his hoop. He signaled Murasakibara with his eyes to hurry back, and the tall player left without hesitation. Midorima was already in a defensive stance.

Kise ran forward to match Aomine, whom was dribbling the ball precariously. As Midorima approached, Aomine sidestepped and faked, spun back to his original position, faked a shot, and passed Midorima. Akashi came next.

Aomine continued his loose dribbling, when he finally did the worst. His fingers lost control of the ball.

But he didn't stop. No, he shot past Akashi, whose attention was now averted to somewhere else, and ran to the hoop. The ball that Aomine had previously lost track of now soared through the air, and Aomine tipped it a bit to guide it to the hoop in the shape of a formless shot.

Momoi blew her whistle as Kuroko walked towards the bench to grab water. Kise complained in the background about how he never got the ball, and you just watched how everyone considered this normal.

You now realized that Kuroko's low presence allowed him to change the ball's path, and guide it to a new target. That was what caused Aomine to make the shot. His 'slip up' was truly him stealthily giving the ball to Kuroko.

Before you realized it, everyone had returned to their positions to resume play. Everyone, that is, except for Akashi.

He looked at you before looking at the players and saying, "He's truly special, isn't he?"

You looked at where his gaze was directed, and observed the blue head of hair. "He really is. And to think all of you are talented in your own ways..."

As your voice trailed off, Akashi looked at you with a knowing smirk. He was referring to the bluenette that was rarely noticeable. You obviously we're talking about the other bluenette.

Oh my...
