Well I think the time period it would be in would be mid evil because of the weapons and armor. I can't remember when that was but I know it is earlier than the end of the Byzantine Empire( for those who don't know what that is part of the Roman Empire when it fell) because the intruders used cannons. And we know that none of the dragons have cannons.
