How I Look At Scars

I'd have to say that when I see 'scars', I immediately think of the physical marks.

The injuries.

The pain that drew blood, even if the cut itself didn't hurt.

Razors hurt the least.

I only know this by accident.

Nail clippers hurt the most.

I know this by practice.

However I often failed to realize that scars are just as much emotional. Just as much mental, as they are anything else.

I failed to observe that the physical marks, while visible, were no match to the battle wounds they left in my mind.

In my mentality, and the way I look at life.

The way I look at myself.

The way I look at scars.
