I'd have to say that when I see 'scars', I immediately think of the physical marks.
The injuries.
The pain that drew blood, even if the cut itself didn't hurt.
Razors hurt the least.
I only know this by accident.
Nail clippers hurt the most.
I know this by practice.
However I often failed to realize that scars are just as much emotional. Just as much mental, as they are anything else.
I failed to observe that the physical marks, while visible, were no match to the battle wounds they left in my mind.
In my mentality, and the way I look at life.
The way I look at myself.
The way I look at scars.
