My eyes drifted open after I heard my phone buzz on the nightstand. I held my phone up and scrunched my face, trying to wake up from a deep sleep. One new text message. Text messages at 2AM rarely end well.
2:26 AM
C: Hey, are you awake?
I stared at the screen and let out a big sigh. Part of me is thinking I'm way too drained and it's way too late to be dealing with anymore drama today. The other part of me that had the final say didn't care.
2:28 AM
L: Well, I am now.
C: Sorry.
L: Nah, you're good. What's up
C: One of our tour PAs gave me a little gift...
So either Camila blacked out on the last 6 hours of the night and forgot that we had a dramatic-as-fuck moment in front of thousands of people, making things unbearably awkward, or she's got a lot on her mind and is desperate for comfort. I guess regardless of what happened, we were still friends who loved each other. I don't know.
A true insomniac, I knew this about her; she could never fall asleep when she was overwhelmed in thought, had a stressful day, or watched an emotional movie. That girl was always stuck in her head, and it affected her sleeping patterns greatly. Mine too, sometimes. Before things got weird, she would come find me to cuddle with or just for general comfort. I was surprised she was even willing to talk to me after last night, much less acknowledge my existence. Also, the "little gift" thing was weirding me out, so I had to know what she was talking about.
2:32 AM
L: ... alright
C: Want to help me smoke it? Banana Kush, your favorite.
L: Haha, wow. You serious?
C: Yeah, I know you like it and it's been a while. Plus, I'd feel weird smoking it by myself. Not really my thing. :)
I smirked and laughed quietly to myself, rubbing my eyes.

[Camila POV]
I heard a light knock at my hotel room door. I was sleeping in my bra and panties, so I scurried to throw on a tank top and some cotton shorts before walking over to open the door.
As I slowly cracked the door open, Lauren stood in my doorway wearing her black 1975 t-shirt and some light PJ shorts. Her hair was big, wavy, and messy - which was my favorite - and she ran her fingers through it while giving me a tired smile and a little wave. I noticed her small blue pipe hiding in her palm and grinned.
"Hey." I smiled back at her, opening the door fully to let her in.
"Can't sleep?" she walked past me and the smell of her shampoo wafted through the air, making my head swim.
"No. Was going to take a hit or two and see if that helps. I'd feel awkward doing it by myself, though. I'm not that cool."
She shook her head and snorted, sauntering over to my balcony, "Where's Dinah?"
"She bunked up with Normani tonight. Wanted to give me some space."
"Well, that was nice of her." she said, her voice sounding huskier than usual. She slid open the balcony door and a nice draft filled the room. It was that brisk nighttime Orlando air - not too chilly, minimal humidity, but crisp and refreshing.
"Yeaaaah, or she just thought it would be awkward." I made my way to the balcony with her, scooping up the dime bag of weed on my nightstand.
"It's a possibility. Here, let me see." She gestured for the baggie, and I handed it over to her. We both got comfortable on the outdoor love seat as she started to prep a bowl for us to smoke, "Which PA gave you this?"
