Dragon Island

The Plan Ch. 9

There was deep silence. Layla had a shock expression, but I could tell that she understood what was happening. "Your smart, but not smart enough, you see..." He continued with a smirk on his dumb face. "I have a trade for you." He walked over to a leaver and pulled it. Out from inside the celling, came down Simone and Ali, tied up on a pole. They were brought down about halfway from the floor. But then he pushed a button. The floor collapsed, and in its place, was lava. "If you give me your pure heart, I'll let your friends go. But..."

 his hand covered another button, which meant to drop Simone and Ali. "DON'T DO IT SAM!!!" Layla shouted. "WERE NOT WORTH IT!!" Ali yelled in agreement. Simone looked up and starred at me. My mind froze. What to do, what to do!!! My mind yelled. I tried to think of something, then it hit me. He's the beast. I looked back at Simone, who seemed to know what I was thinking. I know what I must do. "I'll give you my pure heart." He smiled with glee. "WHAT?! SAM! YOU'LL DIE OUT THERE- ""just trust me!" I shouted back. 

She looked with a displeasing look on her face. "I have hope." "Aww, how adorable. You think your gonna live and live happily ever after! Well, hope all you want." He snapped his fingers, which signaled the two guards. They grabbed me and pulled me up. We walked over to the big machine. There was hatch up top. To get there, there was stairs leading to the top. As we climbed, I saw that they had put my friends in a giant cage, including Layla. We finally made it. They hopped on to an elevator, and went down into the bowl shaped machine. Half of the bowl shape was made of glass, so that I could see what was happening outside. At the bottom, they put something on my head. They also put these little suckers on my body, probably to suck all pure hearted. More like to suck all the crap inside of me. 

The two guards finished and went back on the elevator and locked the hatch. They gave a thumbs up. Rick Livingston was ready to push the button. My friends were either looking away, or closing their eye's. I was ready the face the facts, that I might die. He raised his hand. I have hope. He pushed the button. My life seemed to flash before my eyes. I screamed with pain for it to stop, but he pressed it harder. I remember the time I got my first IPhone, to when I got Navi my cat, to when I first met Layla, to when I dreamed of mom. Mom.......

I suddenly didn't feel pain anymore. I looked up to see tree's blowing in the wind. I was moving side way's a bit. I looked down to see me.... floating? What the- "hi." I heard a voice that was directly in front of me. I looked to see that it was the same boy who showed me Layla's past. "Are you, jack?" He nodded. "So...your Layla's brother?" He nodded again. "So, what exactly happened?" He looked away, as if trying to remember something. "I was about 12 when Layla was born. On my 15th birthday, dad got me an airplane, so I could fly wherever I wanted." He continued, slowly but surely" went to take it for a spin, but.... then I crashed."

I landed on the same Island. Helped Rick, with his so called 'youth potion'. He made me drink it and- ""You turned into a dragon." I interrupted, but he continued. "I went back to my home, seeing if they'd reacted to a dragon. I got there, somehow, my mouth bursted with flames, grabbed my parents and took off. I realized I left Layla there. I tried to go back but then my wings failed, I fell and I died. How did I die, well apparently anyone can't stay at the island for 20 days, or else." There was a moment of silence. "I suppose you know how to defeat Rick." 

I tried to remember what he meant by that. Then I remember what I thought before. Mondrake said that if you drink it, you'll become young, but with a price. And Jack say's that If you were here for more than 20 day's.... I nodded, for I understood the prophecy. The deadly creature that hunts the weak, must die from the one that seeks. The soul of the leader will die, but the savior will come back to life. "Very well. I will see soon....brave leader. Then the black void came back, and swallowed me whole. For once I wasn't scared, because I know, That jack will be there. And mom.
