Starting the Journey #2

I wake up in a weird world. Suddenly I here screams. I turn around and a huge dragon flies up and lands right in front of me the dragon starts walking closer and closer to me. I start running. I don't look back, but I here loud sounds behind me, getting faster and faster. It now sounds like running. I look back and see the dragon hot on my tail. Then it's mouth opens wide, I see an orange light. Then it hit's me, FIRE. Then flames come out off its mouth. The flame comes closer to me. I keep running, knowing that I might not make it. Then I take one last look. flames, flames everywhere. I appear in a burning house. Then I see a silhouette. I get closer. I see my mom...

"Hey, wake up, wake up!"

I open my eye's and see a familiar face. It was Layla. I sit up and groan, "ugh....what....happened...." "I think we crashed." "Oh great, were stranded on an island and now we're going to die." " who said we were going to die?" She got up and pointed her thumb at herself. "Me and my dad were experts at survival. It no big deal." "Well you look like the kind of person for camping, for a girl!" "Hey!" We both laugh. " Well anyways I never got you name." "The names Sam. Samantha Roberts." "That's a pretty name. I always hated my middle name. It makes me seem more like a girly girl." "Oh yeah, what's your middle name?" "Um...it's....r....." "I'm sorry what?" "Um....ro......" "Spit it out!" "Ok, ok. My middle name is.....Rose." "ROSE! Hahahaha!" "Hey! I didn't pick it!" "I know but, it so funny!" " yeah, yeah, yeah. Well we better start a shelter. How about you get some wood." "And how the heck am I suppose to do that!" "You'll figure it out!" She got up and ran off into the great palm tree's. Ugh, great. I'd wish I was at home with Navi. I got up, brushed the sand off my clothes and went into the damp, dark forest called a jungle.

A few hours later I was sitting on a fallen palm tree. I was watching Layla smash two rocks together to make fire. Sparks flew everywhere and seemed to be flying in the air. Finally a burst of fire awakened and warmed the air around us. She wiped the top of her head and sat down next to me. "Do you think people will be worried, like our families?" I asked. "I don't have a family to be worried about me." "But I thought you and your-" "Dad. I had a dad until the accident." "What accident?" "Well it started at my house, I was making something with my dad until all the sudden fire burst everywhere. And my dad said go to the basement, and I did. I never saw my mom nor my dad again." There was a deep silence. " Well, I'm going to bed, see you tomorrow." She got up and went to the badly made shelter. I decide to go too. I sat in my leaf made bed. I stared up at the stars and pictured what had happen. Fire? How could fire just burst out of nowhere like that? I laid down on my bed. Closed my eyes and saw my mom smiling at me.
