No more secrets

Chapter three

Later that night Honoka's phone rang "hello?" She answered "hello Honoka" Umi said on the other line "oh, hey Umi! What do you need?" "Um.. I was wondering has Eli seem... Weird the past few days..?" "Weird? What do you mean?" She asks "she's seemed... Nervous and Eli is usually never nervous" "everyone gets nervous ever now and then" "yes, I agree, but to bother Eli, it must be something very nerve racking..." Honoka takes a small hard candy out of her pocket and starts sucking on it before she answers "maybe it has something to do with being the student council president, she must have a lot of work to do and all, maybe we could try helping her with it tomorrow." She suggests "you think that could be what's worrying her?" Umi asks unsure "yeah, I don't know what else it could be" "okay, well I'll call Kotori and everyone else so that we can all help Eli tomorrow" "sounds good, see you tomorrow!" "See you then" Umi hangs up and puts her phone down.
"Could that really be what's worrying her?" She asks herself aloud "she probably has enough experience as student council president to not let paper work and things bother her, she could probably breeze through it pretty quick..." She paces slowly "what was all of that Nico was spouting earlier about... Something about seeing Eli and Nozomi doing something, well it isn't an odd sight to see the both of them together. It was probably Nico just being Nico..." And with that she stopped pacing and opened her phone to call Kotori.

Some time later as Umi made her way down the list of Muse members to call she came to Nico. "What do you want?" Nico answered the phone in a somewhat harsh tone "I was just calling to inform you that Honoka, I and the rest of muse are planning on helping Eli with her work as student council president and it would be wonderful if you could help to" Umi told her calmly Nico giggled "there's no way I would help her out" "and whys that?" "I'll be busy working on becoming everyone's favorite idol!" She exclaimed happily "Honoka and I think that if we help Eli it will help her be less nervous and worried like she has been-" she was cut off from Nico's laughter "you think that's why she's been stressing!?" "Yes, do you have a better explanation?" Umi asks "yeah! I know exactly why! It's obviously because she's dating Nozomi, but is afraid to tell everyone" "what? Why would you think tha-er-no, I shouldn't pry and figure out why she could be acting the way she is from you" Umi says rather quickly "hmm, suit yourself then!" Nico says and hangs up the phone

Umi is left to collect her thoughts quietly. Could she really believe what Nico said or was it all false, Nico was known to fib every now and then. Umi shook her head at the thought of Eli and Nozomi being together. There was only on person left to call and tell their plans to and that was Nozomi.

"Hello Umi" Nozomi answers the phone sweetly "um.. H-hello.." She says nervous "hm? What's wrong? You sound nervous" "oh, um it's nothing.." She lied, what Nico said stayed in the back of her mind and she wanted to know if it was true or not. But how was she supposed to ask Nozomi? "Anyways, I was calling to tell you..." She continued telling her what she told everyone else "helping out Elicchi sounds like a wonderful idea, although I have work to do as Vice President she has a lot more duties than I have, so I'll happily help. Is that all?" "Um well actually-" she violently shook her head "yes, that's all" she told Nozomi "okay, well, goodnight" Nozomi says and hangs up the phone.

Although she knew Nico was probably lying the thought kept eating at her. She thought of calling Honoka or Kotori, but decided against it, she would hate to spread untrue rumors about her friends. She just had to keep the thought far back at the ends of her brain until the answer came from Nozomi or Eli, but how long would that take.
