“Man, Shikamaru hurry up!” I shouted at him over my shoulder as I jumped off another tree branch. It should only take about 10 hours(I’m just making this up okay?) to get from Konohagure to Sand, but at the pace that we were all going it would take me 3 days or something.
Geez…and I’m the slow one.
Then again, I was making Shikamaru carry my bag for me. It wasn’t that heavy was it? Nah, no excuses you slowpoke. Hurry up or else I’ll smash you.
“Hurry up! We could have been there by now!” I yelled at him.
I turned and looked at him. He had the same bored expression on his face.
“Geez… its bothersome to go any faster…” He moaned. He crossed his arms in a mockingly way seeing, as that was something I used to do whenever I was upset. Wait, crossed his arms? When he should be carrying my bag?
Shoot.
“Shikamaru I will kill you” I screamed as I jolted towards him with my silver katana. My bag had my awesome pajamas, spare clothes, weapons and other crap inside. And do you know what this Lazy jerk did? He dropped it. Dropped it!!
"How is it possible for you to drop a freaking bag while running and not notice?!"
I had my Katana out, which lucky for me wouldn’t fit in my bag so I had to have it strapped around my back. I charged, I wasn’t going to hold back…until…Asuma. Shoot, I forgot he was with us.
He had become a human wall between me and Shikamaru preventing me beating the cr#p out of him.
“Ah~~now I see why Tsunade made me tag along aswell.” Asuma said with a cigarette sticking out of his mouth.
Apparently, I didn’t make my point well enough back at the main gates. Humph.
I sighed.
“Erika, I’m sure Sand will be able to provide some clothes, weapons and anything else you need there. There is no need to beat Shikamaru up…is there?” He said.
I straightened myself up, brushed myself off, put my Katana back in it’s case behind my back and turned to the terrified Shikamaru hiding behind the safety wall named Asuma.
“You got lucky, jerk.” I said, as I turned towards our destination and continued running.
Kazekage’s POV
I was out on the rooftop looking over my beautiful country. The country I was now actually part of. One that I could look after. One that can finally accept me, and not fear me like they did before.
Thank you…Uzumaki Naruto.
“Gaara.” I heard a voice behind me. It was obviously my brother. No one else would dare to call me Gaara, it’s always Kazekage-sama.
I disliked formalities, even if it is to show respect. I stayed quiet, listening to wait for what my brother came to say.
“The ninja from Konoha will arrive soon.” He said, panting. Why the hell was he panting. Of course, the guy has no Stamina. Pathetic.
“Why do you speak of things I already know, Kankorou?” I replied, in my normal monotone voice and the same blank expression, even though I was deep in thought. “Well…” He said, stuttering a bit.
“Temari and I have finished preparing the room, but was wondering if the Ninja needed clothes or weapons of some sort?”
Clothes?
Weapons?
We don't provide a hotel service. And besides, what kind of pathetic Jounin level ninja would forget to pack clothes and the necessary weapons?
“No.” I said.
“B-But, Temari said that…”
“Did you not just hear me?” I replied back to him. I heard Kankorou sigh.
“Alright, but we need to be at the gates in 1 hour to greet them.”
I didn’t reply. Not like I needed to. I suppose my brother knew that it wasn’t worth waiting for my reply that was most likely never to come so he left without another word. I looked back up at the sky. It was very still and calm.
The sun looked like it was about to set soon and the village shops were about to close.
When will that ninja arrive?
