"Thanks Luke! See ya later!" Michael says to Luke, still sitting behind the counter.
We all walk out into the cold Seattle, Washington air and head towards the car. Calum and Michael sit in the back of the car this time, because they wanted to smoke cigarettes, leaving me to sit in the passenger seat next to Ashton.
"Wanna play some music?" Ashton says, handing me the auxiliary cord and starting the car.
I plug the cord in and start to question my music library. 'What if they dont like my music?' I think to myself.
Unsure of what to play, I press shuffle and 'Tonight' by With Confidence instantly plays throughout the car.
"This is pretty good, what band is th-" Ashton gets interrupted by Luke talking to Michael at the window behind me.
"Can I join you guys?" He asks us all.
Ashton immediately responds, "Yeah man, of course!"
Luke gets in and sits behind me, where Michael was, and Ashton starts driving.
Michael turns to Luke, "You don't have to work?"
"Not really, there hasn't been too many customers so my boss lets me leave."
"Man, I need a job," Calum mumbles.
"Hell yeah you do." Michael laughs, and Ashton joins him.
"Hey Mali doesn't have a job, " Calum argues.
Ashton looks at Calum from the rearview mirror, "Yeah well she actually tries to earn money by singing. I'm sure you'd make some too if you had a working guitar."
"You play guitar?" I interrupt.
"Yeah, we all do except I'm more of a drums kinda guy."
"How about you Luke?" I ask him, so he doesn't feel as left out.
"Yeah. I play guitar." He says emotionlessly.
"Oh cool. Its been a while since I've played, back in high school."
"Nice." Luke says sarcastically.
"So... Where we headed to?" Calum says to break the awkward silence.
"I don't know, I was thinking-"
"Lets go to Cliffside." Michael interrupts.
"Cliffside?" Luke and I ask.
"Its a cliff about a 30 min drive away and you get a whole view of the city if not more." Ashton explains.
"Actually can you drop me off at my place? I've been in these clothes all day and I'm kinda tired."
"Aw come on Andrea, we barely hung out today!" Calum says.
"I'll spend all day with you guys tomorrow, how does that sound?"
*Luke's pov*
I'm only with them because Michael invited me when he came to order. As soon as I saw that Andrea girl, I felt something I haven't felt in a long time, and I don't know if I like this feeling.
And I knew exactly what Cliffside is. I was just shocked that Michael wanted to go so suddenly. Being alone lets you diacover really cool places and I actually unintentionally showed Michael about Cliffside. I was working one night and Michael came in because he was drunk and hungry. After I thought he 'left' (he didn't actually leave, he was puking in the alley next to the building) He managed to talk me into taking him home, but he knocked out on the way and so I thought I'd spend some time at Cliffside. He woke up sober and long story short, we smoked cigarettes and pot until 6 am just talking about life and stuff. I honestly don't think Calum and Ashton know about that night, and i'm glad they don't.
lol this is hella overdue and kinda a filler yikesss
but ive been super busy w leadership stuff at school and some drama has been stressing me out too not gonna lie
anyways im posting this at 5 am because im sO TEEN RELATABLE WOW
