Chapter 2: Confusing Feelings and Accidental Injuries

~Time Skip 2 Hours~

Toshiro's POV

“YES, I’m done.” I look up to see her stretching and yawning.

‘She looks so cute…WAIT WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!’

“Are you ok Toshiro you look…shocked...kind of like you want to smash your head on a wall or something...” she said tilting her head to the side.

“I’m ok and call me Captain Hitsugaya” I say, gritting my teeth and she just giggles in response.

“Ok and do you want me to deliver these papers anywhere?” she asks, getting ready to stand up.

“Yes take all of them to Squad 6.”

“Ok!”she took out her earbuds and put them on the table. Then she grabbed all the papers, when she carried them to the door and struggled to open it I see that it almost covered her eyes, I was going to go up to help her until she managed to get the door opened.

“OK, I’ll see you later Toshi-kun!”

“OK, Don’t drop those papers ok?!”

“OK!” and then with that she closed the door. I for some reason feel sad to see her leave, but I shake off the feeling and get back to work. Next thing I hear is Katsumi’s voice, she can’t be back, not yet at least Squad 6 is at least a 5-10 minute walk from here. Then I look out the window to see her chatting with Renji, I see her point to the office then leave to continue to Squad 6 with Renji carrying half the pile of papers and happily chatting. I feel a bit jealous for some reason, I turn back around to my desk and bang my head a couple of times. *BANG*...*BANG*...*BANG*. I stopped and feel that I have a bruise on my forehead, I sigh and rest my head on the table and stare at the table.

‘What’s wrong with me today?’ I hear the door open, but I don’t bother looking up.

“Taichou! Are you alright? I heard some banging down the hall on my way here.” I look up to see Rangiku’s face scrunched up in worry and confusion.

“It’s nothing Rangiku, I’m fine.”

“Are you sure...Is it about Katsumi?”

“NO IT’S NOT ABOUT HER!” I blush slightly hoping she didn’t see. She didn’t seem like she saw...or is she acting? Then I see her smile.

‘Oh no she’s on to me’

“Haha, OK Taichou I won’t push you any further, if you need me I’ll be resting on the couch ok?”

“OK Rangiku.” she nods and lies down on the couch. A couple of minutes later Katsumi came yelling and running through the door.

“HI TOSHI-KUN...HI RAN-*trip* *BANG*” She said, tripping on the carpet, hitting her head on the corner of the table and landing on the ground with her face. We both rush over to help her up from the ground.

“Are you ok Katsumi?, Katsumi?, Katsumi!!” I shout practically in her ear. Then after a couple of seconds she finally wakes up.

“Huh?...where am I?” She turns and looks around then at us. Then suddenly her forehead started to bleed very, very quickly.

“Huh? *she reaches up and touches her head and then brings the hand back down to eye level* OMG I'M BLEEDING...wait I bleed in battle… a lot…hmm…” I sigh impatiently and sent Rangiku to get some bandages from Squad 4 for Katsumi, she then nods and leaves. I quickly pick Katsumi up and gently put her on the couch.

“Don’t move. Ill be right back. Here keep this on your wound until I come back with the stuff to wash it.”

“OK.” she places the little handkerchief on her injury and I see that the blood dyed it red quickly, I leave the room to go get a little bucket of water and a couple of towels. When I get back I see her playing with the roll of bandages by throwing it in the air and catching it, over and over, while still holding the handkerchief on her forehead.
